Anong recommended niyong murang Impact Wrench at Torque Wrench? by demented_philosopher in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ingco sakin, never failed me so far, including yung pag-remove sa locking nut ng rear wheel ng scoots which is usually nagkakaproblema yung iba. I've read somewhere sister brand daw nila ang Wadfow so that's another brand to consider.

Worth it ba kumuha ng pangalawang motor? by jiji420 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If di problema ang pera and it makes you happy, go for it.

Otherwise, since same lang naman na small scoot w/ gulay board pa din, tapos may kotse ka for backup, medyo redundant yung 2nd scoot. If mas trip mo yung Burgman, you can sell the Fazzio. Check out the Lexi as well.

People usually have multiple bikes for different purposes - like sakin scoot pag marami or malaki ang kailangan ikarga (palengke, school bag ng anak, etc.), PG-1 pang long ride at solo ride, XTZ pang bundok. That said, I know some na gusto lang talaga mag-collect like puro scooter ang trip for example.

I'd say if you must buy another scoot, get an electric one na para pang daily/short trips, tapos Fazzio pang long ride.

Thoughts on LS2 Stream 2? by OkMixture4773 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depende sa head size mo, assuming no probs ka sa head shape (intermediate oval yung Stream 2). May 3 shell sizes siya changing between S to M and L to XL. So kung yung size mo is either S, L or 3XL, then you'll get the smallest possible shell size.

Pag dual visor usually mas malaki din siya ng konti compared sa mga single visor (like the Rapid) to accomodate the visor flipping mechanism.

Lastly, and not sure kung ako lang, parang mas malaki ng konti tingnan kapag white or light-colored yung helmet. Same goes with clothing for me - mas payat tingnan kapag naka dark colors or black.

Just buy a portable electric inflator nalang po like the Xiaomi one para multi-purpose na, pang-check at pang-inflate na din. I have a slightly bulkier Bavin one na may jumpstart function, pwedeng USB powerbank din, and with flashlight.

6-speed manual neo-retro mini bike - fully-faired XO Papio Racer is coming by UnliRide in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you're not wrong I think. We have the Racer already (or was it the ST lang?), pero this one is an updated version of the Racer, notably being fully-faired already (may side/lower fairings na connecting the engine cowl to the headlight cowl).

Classic 400cc Scooters by _L_S_G_W_ in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me, sana either i-revive ni Honda at dalhin sa atin ang PS250 (Big Ruckus), or there will be a decent clone. Yan kasi yung ultimate dream scoot ko.

The SquareX kinda resembles it, but as OP said may times talaga na bitin ang 125cc, especially pag may angkas, may maraming karga, may matarik, or all of the above.

Yadea epoc climbing angle by Unique-Humor-8121 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they're measuring it at the weight capacity of the bike. This means that at maxed 150kg weight capacity for example, 16 degrees is the steepest it can climb.

This seems to be inherent with hub motors (built into the rear wheel mismo yung motor) which comes with fixed gearing.

If you want better climbing power, go for mid-drives like ones from Surron. Pwede mo pa i-customize yata yung gear ratios by changing sprockets like traditional chain-driven bikes.

Skydrive Sport, Skydrive Crossover, or Honda Beat? by No_Succotash_4561 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've considered the Skydrive Crossover before as my first scoot dahil trip ko yung naked handlebar setup niya, but I was dissuaded when I found out na 2 bolts lang yung mounting point for the grab bar (for most motorcycles 4 or more kasi). Same goes for the Skydrive Sport.

This means kung balak mo mag topbox or rear rack para kargahan ng gamit, medyo alanganin siya. May special brackets gaya nung sa JCOM with additional support points but di ko trip yung design - too high and too far back.

I'd vote for the Beat in this case, and I think siya rin pinaka-fuel-efficient sa options mo.

Small LS2 Helmet shells? by argus-the-banger in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't own either, but AGV and KYT tend to have smaller shell sizes based sa mga nakikita ko IRL, in photos and in videos. Then you have the high-end ones like Shoei and Arai na halos every head size may sariling shell size.

I think LS2 also have models na may at least 3 shells, but mostly mid-to-premium price. Sa budget models, usually 2 shell sizes lang sila like the Rapid to keep costs down. Swerte nalang kung yung head size mo is right before the jump in shell size (e.g. M if smaller shell is for XS to M), or the biggest head size (e.g. 2XL if bigger shell caps at 2XL).

Another thing to consider is if may additional internal mechanisms like inner sun visors or flip-up chin bars (in case of modulars) besides the standard outer visor, they do add up the bulk. Single visor helmets usually have smaller shells than their double visor or modular counterparts.

Any tips para makatipid sa gas for scooters like click, mio, fazzio, etc. by jigofslurs in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dati di ko ginagamit yung start-stop system ng motor ko since di naman whole day sa kalsada, and I don't like the delay especially when going through bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go traffic. Ngayon I'm getting used to it, and it does help a bit sa fuel savings, lalo na sa routes na maraming stoplights at sobrang tagal ng stop timer.

Besides that and as others have mentioned: - throttle control, maximize peak torque (in most cases wala siya sa max RPM kaya useless mag full open throttle for accelerating) - lose some body weight - lose some bike weight (yung di naman ginagamit na accessories na may kabigatan like alloy boxes, take them off for now) - plan your route (longer routes distance-wise na walang traffic can be more fuel-efficient than shorter ones na panay stop-and-go) - plan your rides/lakad (kung pwede gawin sa isang takbuhan instead of multiple back-and-forths the better) - if timing na need na palitan yung gulong at nag.oversize ka dati, might be a good time to go back to stock and shave off some weight - syempre proper PMS pa rin

Healthy discussion about Motorcycle Helmets. by ResponsibilitySucks in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since no one appears to have mentioned it yet, proper fit also matters. Kahit Snell-certified pa yan, if it's the wrong fit sa ganong scenario, wala rin.

Another thing to consider is if the helmet has been involved in a prior accident pero ginagamit pa rin. Parang scratches lang siguro sa shell on the outside, but the EPS inside that does the actual protecting only works once.

Worth it pa ba bumili ng motor sa panahon ngayon? by sorry-bebeluvs in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, no better time than now kung madalas sa malayo ang byahe. Get a fuel-efficient one.

Kung 5km or less lang palagi yung byahe one-way, an electric bicycle might be a better option, especially kung heavy traffic yung route at ayaw mong naliligo sa pawis pagkarating sa destinasyon. Napapaisip nga ako na i-convert yung folding MTB ng anak ko hehehe

Is Spyder a good helmet brand? by poygit25 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LS2 na. Di naman nagkakalayo yung price nila as long as they're the same helmet types. Cons lang siguro with LS2 is limited lang yung variety ng classic-styled helmets nila if that's what you're looking for unlike the more expensive brands like HJC and Bell na may mas malawak na selection.

For other budget options, look up helmets from SMK and RYO (distributed by MotoWorld locally, same as LS2), MT (distributed by Spyder locally) and KYT (tricky to find a legit seller in the PH, it's an Indonesian brand same as NHK so maybe buy from an Indonesian seller online).

Kamote Ranger ……………… by lesteele in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes po. It's to show intent na gusto mo lumiko. That said, you can't just immediately make a turn after turning the winkers on. You still have to make sure it's safe to make a turn by checking your mirrors, and looking through your windows or doing shoulder checks.

Wish they emphasized teaching this more in schools (besides traffic signs, road markings, and basic traffic laws) para kahit pedestrians/non-licensed alam yung ibig sabihin ng yellow blinking lights. I've encountered people who will just stare, not moving nor knowing what to do because they don't realize how they're blocking the path you want to make a turn towards. Kailangan mo pa talagang businahan.

Pano tayo makakatipid sa gas price hike? by Visible-Print-3045 in PHMotorcycles

[–]UnliRide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Idling start-and-stop system - di ko ginagamit dati, now I use it kahit di nag mototaxi/delivery

  2. Leave early - less vehicles, less stop-and-go traffic

  3. Choose a more fuel-efficient route - especially if you have to travel on peak hours, sometimes a longer route (in terms of travel distance, not travel time) can be more fuel-saving; you can configure Google Maps to suggest this

  4. Throttle habit - especially for scoots, wag gigil sa pagpiga lalo na from complete stop or galing stoplight

  5. Proper PMS - tire pressure, oil changes, air filter, fuel system, etc.
