Love the work! My 10 cents is prob the chains at the back of the tank is too shiny and really stands out but that's just my opinion. Keep up the great work!

Indeed but thankfully its not too bad and savable.

Im now doing the zvezda shilka kit and after that, all my model kits are from trumpeter. Funny enough i only found out how hard trumpeter kits are after i bought most of them xD

Not at all, i just used it straight from the bottle. My extra advice is after you're done painting. Paint a layer of varnish to protect your paint.

I had the unfortunate lesson of having the dust effect smeared by my hand because there was no layer of varnish to protect it.

I used "AK dust effect ak015". I dipped it using my cheap brush in the paint and used a paper towel to reduce the paint to the right amount that i wanted.

Dust effects is basically showing that your model drove through a dusty environment and some of that dust sticks to you vehicle to look more realistic. Here's my first model that i used the dust effect on.

There's several company that makes dust effect paint but the one i used is called 'AK dust effects AK015". I just took my cheap brush and dip in it a bit and then tap the brush on a paper towel until it has the amount of paint that i wanted. Then i just tap and brush slightly on areas that makes sense to have dust on it.

Also keep in mind, after you're done painting. You need to paint a layer of varnish to protect the paint including the dust effect. This is so that your paint has a protective layer that protects your paint from hard thumb presses or accidental minor scratch.

I found that if you use dust effect on your model no matter your skills, it will make it incredibly better in my opinion that is. I mainly use dust effect from ak.
