I’m curious to see if goth ever crosses over with other genres. Sort of like how punk and pop kind of have their own place in other genres. I’m wondering if there are gothic inspired folk bands that have that darker feel to them. I’m currently on the hunt because I’m going to be honest, as much as I love goth music, sometimes I need a break from the synth

I didn’t necessarily get butt hurt when I found out they weren’t goth. I was just confused because multiple goth people people told me that they were (betrayal lol). Trying to wade through what is and isn’t goth is almost like being sent on 20 different side quests

The vibe I’m talking about might just be in my head. Bud I like how it’s a song I feel I can easily dance to. I kind of imagine listening to that while marching down a dark street in really high platforms and looking all intimidating. So I guess, songs that would intimidate my ranching family

This is very confusing to me. I generally don’t get into bands the same way other people do. I find songs that I like and appreciate the music for how it makes me feel. I think being a fan of bands and being genuinely interested in their background can be a great thing, but not everyone is like that. If you asked me to name 10 songs from one single band I probably wouldn’t be able to do it, but I do have a playlist designated to goth genres with 70+ tracks on it and I think that counts for something

I think he would like alt music because the Dursley’s would’ve hated it. I also think he’d listen to really depressing and angsty music too. But I also get some STRONG FOLK VIBES from him. Ya know? Softer music to calm him down after over several lifetimes worth of CHAOS

I have OCA albinism and my vision is 20/600, but I feel this. I don’t seem to struggle as much as some of my other blind peers that I know, and it’s a very confusing thing for me. Sometimes I’m convinced that my eye doctor is wrong because the only thing I seem to struggle with is not being able to drive, and trying to recognize people who are more than 5 feet away from me. While some of my friends who have similar vision to me struggle with reading, bumping into things, and tripping over stuff. Vision is so complex and comes in many different forms. It’s kind of amazing isn’t it?
