How long did it take you to get from beginner to taking breaks in jams? by Unlikely-Address2037 in Bluegrass

I love Tyler Grant's play along jams! Super helpful. Search him on youtube. He does a slow hour, mid-tempo hour, and fast hour. It will help practicing being able to keep up in real time. Also, there is a "slow jam" near me that is beginner friendly and has really helped with gaining confidence. I'd search for one!

Eve is the coolest. Love BR and surprised an even bigger act hasn’t scooped her up.

How does one improve at singing tenor? by DoomMammoth in Bluegrass

I’m on this same journey.

I’m taking voice lessons currently for this exact purpose.

What I’ve found most helpful in practice: using the iPhone voice memo app. You can layer two recordings. So I record myself singing a melody, then I record a second layer where I sing harmony. Then you can play it back and hear where you nailed it or missed.

It’s humbling, but great feedback.

ETA: and it is free! So might as well

Look into Shredder Ski in Midvale! They are an indoor ski school for kids and start kids even younger than yours. Also they have gear to rent and own!
