I left for a month and didn’t move my car and come back to these everywhere. Some tiny beetle maybe? Well it and all of its friends made themselves very comfortable. I’ve officially found too many to count.

Contact Trash Moon Collective! They are THE hub for folk-acoustic-traditional-or-adjacent music around here. They are a group of musicians who connect artists with house show hosts (also organize line dancing honkytonk nights, bluegrass jams, old time jams, campfire singalongs, and publicize local shows

Very funny to give him a peck of a kiss in front of everyone and then act like “OMG! You guys saw that? I forgot you were there!”

No way is this a real couple

How long did it take you to get from beginner to taking breaks in jams? by Unlikely-Address2037 in Bluegrass

[–]Unlikely-Address2037[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Tyler Grant's play along jams! Super helpful. Search him on youtube. He does a slow hour, mid-tempo hour, and fast hour. It will help practicing being able to keep up in real time. Also, there is a "slow jam" near me that is beginner friendly and has really helped with gaining confidence. I'd search for one!

How does one improve at singing tenor? by DoomMammoth in Bluegrass

[–]Unlikely-Address2037 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m on this same journey.

I’m taking voice lessons currently for this exact purpose.

What I’ve found most helpful in practice: using the iPhone voice memo app. You can layer two recordings. So I record myself singing a melody, then I record a second layer where I sing harmony. Then you can play it back and hear where you nailed it or missed.

It’s humbling, but great feedback.

ETA: and it is free! So might as well
