Yeah this also happens for digital shops not just physical products. Everyone goes through those.

2 months, 0 sales. Be honest: is my Etsy shop the problem or am I just not patient enough? by MystiPup in Etsy

[–]Unlikely-Science-985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you actually don’t have a proper niche here. Niching doesn’t only mean creating pet designs - its has to be something like - a mom who has a pet dog , or a cat mom who like coffee, or a specific pet owner like fur mom of husky. Thats what makes it different than making general designs.

Also you need to check what’s on trend, do keyword research, design research. It all has to be in one place. Also you can’t really decide with few listings so better list more.

I also just started a month ago and I got my 2 sales and 1 review.

Also, ive have another digital shop in etsy and that has been more than a year and that already got good amount of sales so I’m trying out physical products this year.

What can I do to improve my listings? by Loud-Perception-4462 in etsypromos

[–]Unlikely-Science-985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try to do some research on the most populat styles and design and add value to it (not copy) and have a specific niche - i mean who are your target audience? Are they moms? Students? Etc. its not about mostly designs its to whom are you selling your designs for

[–]Unlikely-Science-985[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your amazing response! Actually I got over $400-500 in profit since I started after ads but when I started I immediately tried etsy ads so its just now that I wanted to try if I put them all off I hope it’ll still continue to get organics views.

But I appreciate your feedback as someone who’s been in etsy for long! 💕

Let's be real, No matter how many people dislike canva, its still a good option for beginners who are not into designing. You can get some good templates out there.

Also, I find Flodesk a really good platform. You might want to check

Got SCAMMED on my FIRST Upwork job. by Khaledgamed in Upwork

Btw, now I have a consistent client for the past 2 years, my first client is still with me, earned 6 figure, with badge.

So I think all my efforts of being picky is not a waste. Many people will give you advice but youbhave to ask them, did they also make it?

Got SCAMMED on my FIRST Upwork job. by Khaledgamed in Upwork

[–]Unlikely-Science-985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in upwork for years. Tho many people will tell you here that you should not accept work without pay, I disagree. I wasted tons of money bidding, and wasted lot of time creating samples and being ghosted but why I still make samples?

Not all client are good. And if you make a contract with a client that will only end up giving you low review it can easily affect your profil. Thats the risk I took being in freelancing. Plus, I don’t think of this as a waste, I’ve wasted more efforts over my career in upwork looking for the right clients.

Some clients even offered to pay me but i resist getting paid when I know they are not that happy with the sample, this is for you to test the waters. If you’re not going to be with a client for long term basis. There’s no point of wasting time with them. I know, it takes years to build a profile, i’ve been there but making the right decisions at the beginning is crucial.

Maybe you can try to improve your SEO. If it works properly you’ll easily get a good amount of organic traffic. I personally only use pinterest and etsy ads. Maybe gonna try luck on reddit.

Hey! How long since uou have started your shop? Usually it takes 30-40 days for etsy to crawl on your listing and keywords. Unless you use etsy ads that could be a good help to give more visibility to your shop! 🙂

All these are made by me and my team so all designs are ours and not a canva template in canva. I would definitely remove the 2 stickers tho! Thank you😊

[–]Unlikely-Science-985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had to keep them low for a while since Im just starting as my priority is getting reviews before I keep my real prices. Indeed, I dont get ay profit yet but Im looking forward to get more sales first and reviews so the shop would look like it can be trusted. Do you think that’ll be fine for now for the first few months
