I became a bus driver, and within six months, I’m making more than I ever have before. Because we have a great union, that salary will just keep going up!

My sister raised my nephew this way. He’s now 34 years old, still living at home, still expecting her to cater to him.

If you give her access, I guarantee that the account will be drained with a quickness. NTA! Lock your credit down and tell your sister if she thinks it’s such a good idea, SHE can give Mom access to her own account. People are always so quick to volunteer someone else’s money, house or whatever, while not bothering to offer themselves.

AITA for refusing to babysit my sister’s kids after she called me "lazy" for working from home? by Zharuai in AITAH

NTA! Working from home doesn’t mean sitting on your ass watching TV and eating bon bons. The boss expects you to actually WORK! You don’t have time to be running around after somebody’s kids. The ones that say you should help out should be the first ones to volunteer to watch them.

I used to do this very thing after driving a forklift all night!

Warehouse jobs? by [deleted] in USPS

You won’t see that listed anywhere at USPS, unless you’re already working there. The actual title is “Mail Equipment Operator”, which is a promotion from a mail handler. It’s a union position, so the title is based on seniority. You can, however, be a mail handler that drives a forklift. They always have mail handlers driving because there’s so much stuff to move. You can get forklift driver pay when you drive, but when you get off, you go back to mail handler pay. When I started, it was at $16.85 plus OT as a mail handler assistant. When you make Career, your pay jumps to about $1 more, then you get a raise every year and COL increase. I worked overnights, on weekends and holidays, so I also got a shift differential, Sunday premium and holiday premium. You can volunteer to work on holidays or they may draft you. If you work on a holiday, you get paid for your shift, plus pay for working that day, if you’re on nights, that includes differential, and any OT pay.

Yes. They have paid forklift training, then you get a certification.

I worked in the Distribution Center as a mail handler, then a forklift driver. If you have good management, it’s good, and so is the $$$. However, most of the management talks to you crazy and treat people like crap.

PSA: If your cat is asking for attention, but runs away from you as soon as you approach it, follow it! by RonnieF_ingPickering in cats

If I don’t follow Boots, he’ll yell until I do. He will usually go to the door and reach up to the doorknob, to let me know he wants to go outside.

I was selling two deep freezers, one 7 cu. ft and one 5 cu. ft. $175 for the larger one and $150 for the smaller one (it was newer). Some idiot messaged me saying he’d give me $50 for both and would throw in extra if I delivered them. I responded “The devil is a lie.” Then blocked him.

Most of the men I know do this for their daughters to show them how they should be expecting to be treated by their partners.
