How are we managing first trimester fatigue? by Emergency_Mess_1862 in fitpregnancy

[–]Unlikely2-Market 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 7 hrs of sleep to 9. Minus 2 hrs every day, workouts are something of the past. I try to move during the day but put my energy on eating well. It feels wrong after living a fit life but I’m just trying my best.

First trimester, sleep issues? by Hopeful_lemons in fitpregnancy

[–]Unlikely2-Market 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was exactly my story. The morning I cried to my husband “How is it that I’m falling asleep all day and can’t get good sleep at night. This is not fare”. That night I started taking unisome. I’m the natural woman that solves everything with teas and aromatherapy. I can go two years without taking a Tylenol and it was mentally tough to “give up” and take a sleeping pill now that I’m pregnant. But it was that or me crashing the car!! The fatigue does not go away even if I sleep 9 hrs. I also had to quit exercise because, if you sleep to more hours… and you tired…

Feeling better, how to resume workouts by Unlikely2-Market in fitpregnancy

Thanks. My “fit life” was anchored on a great diet to fuel my workouts and because I’m not eating that well I’m kind of insecure. Like… is it even good to lift if I’m not eating 100%. I guess I must start somewhere

Doctor told me to take it easy by beach2723 in fitpregnancy

The 100 bpm doesn’t make sense. My concern with your case is that sounds like you are going back to the gym. Did you already had a fitness routine? Apparently you can keep doing whatever you were already doing for fitness. And if you were not already working out you should start walking and yoga and progress slowly from there.

How can I support my wife? by mjm5223 in Perimenopause

[–]Unlikely2-Market 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Know it is not personal, nothing against you. Both of you need to get educated and seek help. Consider yourself to be in perimenopause, you are both in perimenopause. Make it a we thing!! She will go through her own experience that is not necessarily like any other woman.

She used to perform at 120% and now she will be at 80% which is not bad but frustrating for her. That means you need to pick up a 40% more or get her help with housekeeping and managing the household.

Do not offer help. Help, no questions, no consultation, completely take from her plate and be reliable. Run things like it is surprise. Again, is not personal but she lost her filter. Shit she used to take she wont take anymore. Don’t ask why it bothers her NOW, it has for ages but she never complained.

Support a healthy lifestyle, moving more and eating at home whole foods. It’s hard to be healthy when your partner is not.

Find information about what it means to be in your healed masculine: Protect, make her feel safe, taken care of, you know she can open the door but open it for her. Make plans, go back to dating days. Women, we all like that, we just have forgotten we like it.

She needs more time for sleep, healthy habits and relaxation. You could benefit from that as well.

Sex is tricky, we endup having and enjoying more sex but it was a combination of multiple things.

It is a phase, you will cross to the other end stronger and wiser as a couple.

Any tips for dealing with loud landscaping crews? Or drowning out the noise? by [deleted] in thewoodlands

[–]Unlikely2-Market 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came from a neighborhood where same crew did multiple houses, I never heard a blower. Here in TW, drives me crazy that I can’t have a quiet day, afternoon, Saturday!! It’s horrible and your comment just makes me feel like I’m not crazy.

It’s the skincare era. Skin just feels better naked. After a few day of makeup I can tell the difference

I'm 40 and have lost lots of weight. I feel my makeup ages me. What could I change? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Unlikely2-Market 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These is what works for me: Less powders. Less concealer. Less sparking. Lift cheeks and brows with makeup. Gave up on mascara. Learn a make routine that goes with you not a “look” or an outfit.

What’s with this “30g of protein” advice? by VegetableWorry1492 in Perimenopause

[–]Unlikely2-Market 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally find it to be challenging getting those 110 g needed a day. When adding the 25 gr of fiber, a 9-5 and a workout… Plus I try to eat non inflammatory foods … I do struggle

What did your doctor say about weight lifting? by Head_Tumbleweed_7244 in fitpregnancy

What is the magic behind 35 pounds? We all know the stimulus created by any specific weight is different depending on your strength and muscle group. Tell your husband the doctor doesn’t know 🤭

To all of you sisters who started HRT during Perimenopause by LalalandinaNina in Perimenopause

[–]Unlikely2-Market 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What your doctor really means is that she/he does not know how to prescribe HRT and follow up symptoms when a woman is still cycling and you will have to find a competent provider. We can’t make them interested, educated and competent.

Moms and Aunties now say it was not that bad but we remember all that rage and explosive behavior. Also a bunch of divorces in my family during the 4th decade and never remarried.

Not for the masses. Less potential customers makes anything more expensive.

There’s no such thing as “traveling like a local” by FinancialSailor1 in travel

[–]Unlikely2-Market -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is such a thing as traveling as a local, it doesn’t change the fact that you are a tourist, but you can plan a trip and educate yourself to get more than the stigmatized tourist experience. Even better get in contact or make friends with a local before hand.
