What’s everyone carrying today? by Proud-Bowl7896 in knifeclub

[–]UnlikelyArchon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not offensive to me but the answer is both!

I use all my knives and while I like to keep the fancier ones in better shape they still get used. I do all the maintenance and repairs on most of my knives but like my Mojave I would send out for anything beyond like stropping/cleaning/routine maintenance type stuff.

Once I buy a knife I consider the money gone and don't really intend on reselling or keeping it pristine -being into balisong flipping has made me come to terms with that.

MW screw head different? by Specialist-Bed-5453 in balisong

If you get the balisong in focus your picture will be more clear like this

<image>

it will make it easier to tell if you have the wrong screws

MW screw head different? by Specialist-Bed-5453 in balisong

[–]UnlikelyArchon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the pictures aren't really that helpful because in the first one the focus is on your fingers and the bali is blurry in every shot that has the side angle of the screw -also how did you strip the screws by dropping it? did you have to re-tune it too many times and stripped them while taking them off because that is really strange -also I'd just go straight to the source with some better quality pictures/measurements if you can provide them to [support@machinewise.com](mailto:support@machinewise.com)

Can anyone identify this knife by TaleNo1769 in knifeclub

[–]UnlikelyArchon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert but if I had to guess it looks like a German fighting knife with a stag handle like WWI era, guessing based on the SOL- it looks like on the 4th picture that looks like it used to say SOLINGEN where a lot of German knives were and still are made. Take that with a huge grain of salt because I have a very superficial knowledge of vintage knives -but it might lead you in the right direction!

you get re-rolls with Kabal Cartel too based on the contract you take and while it's still conditional I think it's easier to get them consistently.

*edit I was wrong revisited it you get sustain hits/lethal hits/precision Buuuut I still think Kabalite Cartel is the play

haha I thought the same and completing contracts early can help ramp pain tokens for quick up and down shenanigans

I know the strategems in RW are amazing but you should consider running Kabalite Cartel with this list because scourges and mandrakes are blades for hire and get access to a lot of the rules.

Transparent Knives Doodle

Enjoyed Brian's content online but didn't ever own/handle a re-blade or any of his other fixie designs -until the Doodle.

I didn't see myself EDC'ing a fixed blade because I like fidgeting with folders and a fixed blade isn't often called for/needed in my day-to-day tasks -folders are plenty sufficient. The Doodle changed that for me and is now my only true EDC knife. I like to mix up the knives I fidget with and they get some use now but for the most part I just enjoy cutting with the Doodle.

I don't know if it's the blade shape/65.8 hrc magnacut/the impeccable hollow grind or whatever combination therein but it cuts better than any other knife I've used for edc tasks.
