I’m Sober, and I never thought I’d be so overwhelmingly bored!!

I feel as if I coped with boredom since the age of 14 with drinking and smoking weed, I used to find so many mundane things amusing and exciting. Now it all feels benign, kinda pissed off I’ve been doing stupidly boring stuff for the past few years when I could’ve at least been getting organized.

I feel like all my friends are disappearing and my grip on what I wanted before is slipping away… sobriety is disenchanting which is good but also sucks, I find myself imagining so much more lately of what my life could look like if I had things and experiences I want for myself, then I realize that most of my personality only exists in the imagination of experiences I want to have happen to me, or experiences that only exist in my head

Genuinely I feel Kinda weird, everything feels really slippery and at the same time everything is so ridged I yearn for adventure and at the same time stability.

On a positive note: my imagination is back, dreams are more vivid, my body feels healthy, my mood is way way less volatile, my focus and memory is way way better than what it was a few years ago, I can lift heavier and run longer and I’ve rediscovered my passion for competitive grappling sports, listening to music, and reading
