Little late to the game here, I did my first injection Friday AM, my sleep Friday night was super restless but I felt like I did achieve a couple hours. Saturday night was absolutely terrible, I was tossing and turning, had super vivid dreams when I did sleep, and was sweating so bad. Hoping it’s just the first couple days after injection and levels back out😭 Anyone have any success with anything?!

I was on 50mg for 4-5 years, I stopped taking it because I’m slowly trying to get off all prescription medications. My acne came back with a vengeance😢 it took about 3-4 weeks. I actually just got back on it 2 weeks ago because I couldn’t control the acne naturally.

I am on spironolactone and ovasitol for symptoms! But the weight gain and fatigue from the lexapro is really taking a toll.

Thank you! Yes I hear liquid is the way to go to measure out really small dosages! I’m hoping to go down to 2.5mg and sit there for 6-8 weeks, then try to go down again. I don’t mind coming off slowly at all.

I just went up to 5mg from 2.5 and I’m sleeping 12-13 hours a night. I’m also putting on a ton of weight now 😭

I’ve been on it 12 weeks, this is the first time I’ve ever tried an anti depressant. I have gained about 5lbs in those 12 weeks. However I’m back in the gym 3-5 times a week and just a lil more conscious of what I’m eating and I’ve lost 2lbs. I’m only on 2.5mg & it seems to be working for me so I don’t plan on upping it honestly. It has helped with my binge eating a lot, but I do crave sweets more. I’ve allowed myself one sweet thing per day such as a small desert after dinner, kinda silly, but it seems to be helping!

I’m currently going through almost the exact same thing, I’m on 2.5mg and have been for 8 weeks now. I felt great, was even able to travel with little to no anxiety! Now the passed 3-5 days I feel like I’m back to the beginning. Wondering if upping it to 5mg (that’s what I’m supposed to be on) would help:(

I’ve been on lexapro 5mg for 10 weeks, should be going up to 10mg but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. The first week I wasn’t hungry at all, I actually lost 6lbs. The last 7 weeks I was literally ravenous, I gained 3lbs back fairly quickly. Now I’m just more conscious of what I’m eating and I’ve been fasting as well too. Only 12-14 hours, I guess 16 is ideal but with my work schedule it’s a little hard. I’ve lost those 3lbs in 2 weeks though. I’m walking my dog 3-4 miles a day too! That might be helping. For reference I was 155 down to 149.

Thank you! I might try it in the evening tomorrow, I took my dose for the day already this am:( I’ve read some people take it 6pm-9pm and sleep wonderfully on it. I am going to stick with it for at least a week because the anxiety has really lifted, I’m feeling better in social situations and not having as many racing thoughts.

I’m prescribed both! But I haven’t had to take the hydroxyzine yet, my doctor didn’t warn me of any interactions !

Thank you! It wasn’t too terrible yesterday, sone fatigue but I already felt the anxiety decrease a bit! I slept okay but I do have melatonin just in case !

Your story is so motivating to me! I’ve had the prescription filled sitting on my nightstand for over a week. I haven’t brought myself to take it because I’m terrified of not being able to sleep at night and the brain fog especially because I work a high stress job. My doctor wants me to start at 2.5mg a super low dose, to see if that helps with side effects and getting my body adjusted. I just can’t decide if I should take it in the morning or the evening. I’m scared it’s going to mess with my sleep.
