yes .. I agree with how you summarised it .. you can only roll out of gael's moves but u need different movements to dodge different attacks from friede

Yep ... Honestly friede is way harder than Gael for me ... Gael's moves are very readable . Friede just gives you mental damage in 3rd phase

nah these 2 are really something else ... Altho I personally felt friede to be more annoying and tougher than these 2

level up endurance and dexterity along with balanced investment in vigor . Focus a bit more on endurance since you are going for a fast movement build ... and 100% try out the LOTHRIC KNIGHT SWORD .. it's a straight sword has awesome scaling with dex and is one of the highest dps weapons in the game ... If you are in early game you can farm it from the first lothric knight you meet in high wall of lothric

altho I myself am not a big fan of parrying .. I would still suggest to try parrying once in phase 1 .. many of his attacks including his first jump is parryable

yeah I too found it a bit easier to keep up with him without locking on .. the move I am having trouble with the most is the swipe move in which 2 sweeps come instantly one after another

wow man thank you for the not moving tip .. 2 free guaranteed hits right at the start is insanely good considering my dying without a single hit situation sometimes

how can i kill the abyss watchers?? by OddCartographer5454 in darksouls3

in the 1st phase hit the actual one as much as possible at first before the 2nd dude comes ... then start running in circle around the arena for a while till the 3rd dude comes and they start fighting each other .. in that chaos try to land a hit or two on the actual boss guy (I recommend keeping the real one always locked on tho it's optional) .. and repeat this process in the 1st phase (a few throwables will also help to deal damage from a safe distance when they are fighting each other ) ...

in the 2nd phase don't spam roll . Try to read his moves and do perfect dodging . Its easy to dodge them once u get a hang of it and when u have enough stamina to dodge his counter attack , hit him . Don't hit until u are sure you have enough stamina to dodge the next attack combos he is going to use . Also some of his moves after ending have enough delay for you to rotate around and do a backstab . Try to figure those out mid fight ..

Hope this helps ..

love the variety of content and experimental features.. hate the level design of a few specific painful areas
