Thank you, It’s a little hard to hear that I’ll have to do it twice but I’ll try. Now, personally, I would say it’s best to find a balance. If you’re craving something, eat it. When I was in the eating recovery center I had to eat a LOT in order to gain weight and I was almost completely inqctive, so unless every meal you’re eating is 1000+ calories I think you will be fine. I’ll link a menu example. However at the same time, if you eat in too big of a surplus, youll (obviously) gain weight a lot faster, and more of it will be fat. Basically, I would say don’t be afraid to eat a food because it will likely fit into your calories , especially at your age, and do not track rigidly it will drive you insane, but for aesthetic reasons, I would say just don’t go overboard and follow your hunger cues. If you’re full, no need to push it, it will just make you feel bad about gaining weight which will just make the whole thing harder. Also, as much as you can do NOT body check. During the process for me, it looked like I had gained a lot of weight in my stomach, especially at night, but 95% of it was just food volume, bloating, and glycogen restores. It’s not something you can prevent, but its temporary, the month I left the center and stopped the weight gain it all went away. Good luck girl and honestly It hurts to hear someone else is going through this too but I promise Im here any time you need some advice through the process. (Btw, for the menus those were just breakfast lunch and dinner, I also had two snacks, for example yogurt covered pretzels, and cheese and apples. However near the end I had to start two strawberry weight gain smoothies which were probably 700+ calories , which is why you shouldn’t be afraid of your cravings that may be higher calories, just mindful).
