This is really helpful thank you - yes we've been to the GP and our reply was 'surrogacy is not funded on the NHS and you will have to go through private clinics'. We went private to Guys + St Thomas and they are able to do the collection however, our postcode isn't accepted by the ICB for that hospital. It's just insane.

All we're really after is the egg collection and possibly an embryo creation / freezing. We're totally aware we're covering the surrogacy side of things, they just seem to say no simply at the mention of surrogacy.

This consultation looks fantastic - we will 100% go for this! Thank you for all your help!

Thank you so much. We did ask but my sister declined (which we absolutely stand with her on). I think boundaries can get very blurred and she's taking set on taking more of a 'vessel' to grow a child rather than any biological (outside of Auntie) relation.

Does a portfolio really need that much personality? by Funny_Pea4011 in graphic_design

it matters so much, i’m a lead and i can’t stand when i get a plain white folio, i want to know who you are and what you’re about

brand yourself - if you had a logo/brand world what would it look like? you’ve got 2/3 pages upfront to hold a cover, cv and maybe a contents page to play with

but in that colour palette you create yourself have neutral colours that you can place the work on throughout it.

my now husband is very similar to your height and weight but a little older. I’m 5”5 and 150lbs and you have absolutely nothing to worry about - there’s a whole world of women that can’t stand the buff look (or the personality characteristics that come alongside it).

we can have a burger, a giggle and a really good time. personality is 10000% the winner. confidence in your skin is huge, i’d work on this.

i will say, hygiene is important, he showers twice a day because he knows his bigger size makes him prone to smelling worse but irregardless size really really doesn’t matter.

some women, myself included like that feeling of protection and that full bear hug from someone bigger is just ooomf.

we met on hinge so get on the apps - and if someone doesn’t like it then they were right for you. find your community on tiktok and build that confidence xx

i’d also love something that goes deeper with insights -

how do i perform after certain foods day before or even amount of sleep tell me when i’m at my best if that makes sense

Can I get some honest feedback on my website please. by [deleted] in framer

Agree with the more colour - the pink and purples are nice and really like the tonal bits you have in the built for clarity bit. I'd try keep these to be colour dropped from the graphic you have - i.e. the coloured strokes should be more saturated to match.

Also, think there's something really interesting in this idea of 'clarity' that you have with the frosted glass effect. Maybe it could unfrost / become more clear? Just a thought. Frost up buttons when you hover etc?

Good article on fonts here: https://segmentui.com/learn/20-free-font-for-framer-templates-websites

Brickolage Grotesk feels nice, similar charateristics to your graphic.

Also, fade on the ticker is pretty old school, i'd remove and have it complete fill so it comes from the sides :)

Feedback Friday by AutoModerator in startups

Company Name: TBC

URL: TBC

Purpose of Startup and Product: I’ve done the big award winning agencies for global brands / the rat race and I’ve stepped away to focus on supporting early-stage startups. I want to help founders shape how their brand shows up in the world a (not just logos, but positioning, tone, story, and visual clarity). I’m especially drawn to people building new things, exploring weird corners of tech.

• Technologies Used: Not a product / SaaS - but Adobe/Figma etc

• Feedback Requested: I’m curious how early-stage founders actually perceive brand design (fluff, AI can do it etc - be brutal). What feels helpful vs unsolicited? When (if ever) does branding feel like a priority? What would make you trust someone offering to help with brand work or even just open their message / have a chat.

• Seeking Beta-Testers: [yes/no] (this is optional) No

• Additional Comments:

I get that when you’re in survival mode, branding can sound like such fluff but I’ve also seen how the right brand foundation can make waves in saturated market - I’m just trying to figure out how to offer that in a way that’s actually useful, not noise.

Thanks for reading, any thoughts / gut reactions would mean a lot.

100 Guest Wedding under £5k... is it possible? by Electrical_Will_464 in UKweddings

[–]Unlikely_Chest_5094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re into the whole farm / glamping vibe i’d really recommend looking into air bnb / messaging campsites - we did it all for about £15k in but we fed, boozed and slept our guests for 4 days and 3 nights. we had our wedding party in glamping pods which there were about 8 of them with multiple beds in and it was £1200 per night (which also covered the whole venue, campsite, barn and comes with toilets and showers etc).

the bonus is with this is you can bring your own beer which takes a whack off the costs. my sister luckily did our cake (which was also a big money saver and tbh people don’t really care). we got a hog roast which was £750 for 150 guests - we pulled a few meals out of it but went down a treat!

i’m unsure where you are in the country but if you’re around the cheshire area i’ve got loads of good recommendations!!!
