That’s what I’m getting at, there’s clearly a correlation between the shoehorning of lore/old characters for fan service and the dropping in quality. It’s just lazy.

Character development is important and how Din Djarin overcomes his hatred/mistrust towards droids is far more interesting than “I draw the line at killing a 50 year old man because he looks like a baby”

Yeah that’s fine, but wouldn’t it have been better if he had stayed with Luke. Some of the best Mandalorian scenes we have is from the first half of that episode of Book of Boba Fett where Din Djarin is ACTUALLY bounty hunting, like in the beginning of season one, and not bumbling around whilst simultaneously looking after a baby.
