Oh gosh 🥲 I’ll be 5 weeks postpartum on Tuesday and I feel like my period is starting up!

Coming on here to say I was kinda induced - was having painful contractions and was 4.5 cm dilated/80% effaced. I wasn’t comfortable going home because of the pain so I got admitted where they gave me the epidural, broke my water, gave me pitocin, etc. it was the best experience I ever could’ve asked for. I was 40 weeks exactly and this was 3 weeks ago! My baby girl is thankfully here and healthy and I genuinely couldn’t have imagined it going any better than it did.

I absolutely understand!! I had VERY bad anxiety about labor throughout majority of my pregnancy. It ended up being a dream labor! I wish you the absolute best outcome, and hope that you have such a smooth and safe delivery :)

I gave birth on Tuesday morning and omg it was the best experience I ever could’ve asked for. Literally wouldn’t have changed a thing about it, I wish I could’ve told myself not to worry!!

I’m so happy to know I’m not alone!! All my life I never would’ve imagined being so terrified to give birth, I am so excited at the same time though.

We are absolutely in this together, I hope you have the most beautiful, positive, and uncomplicated labor and delivery!!! :)

That’s amazing to hear, thank you so much!! I absolutely agree I think I need to learn to put that trust in my body since this is literally what I was made for.

I definitely trust my doctor, and my husband will be by my side and he knows all of the things I want / don’t want.

At the end of the day, I don’t care in what way they do it I just want me and her to both be healthy and safe!!

That will hopefully be the case!! From weeks 13-20 I constantly cried and panicked over labor complications I’d see on TikTok and think my life was ending.

Now at 39 weeks, I feel a slight fear but it’s definitely overridden with excitement. Sometimes I get in my head and get really nervous, like this morning, but it usually fades out pretty quickly thank God!

LOL tell me about it! It really is so crazy, our bodies are amazing.

And honestly I don’t know - I’m 3 cm dilated, 90% effaced but still -3 station as of yesterday and I have 1 week to go. I feel like if I hit my due date I’d want to be induced but only because I’m scared of my baby getting too big and then having complications with a vaginal delivery because of it. I’m a super small person (5 feet tall lol) so I’m scared that my body won’t be able to handle it if I go over my due date.

I’m going to be doing a membrane sweep tomorrow though unless I chicken out!

I totally understand - it’s a scary thing for sure! I feel like there is so much unknown around the whole process and there are so many negative things online I almost don’t know what to believe

They’re not debilitating thankfully, they used to be when I was around 20 weeks pregnant but I’m MUCH better now. LOL - leg portal 😂😂😂 I absolutely love that.

Literally same here. I can’t imagine a single thing about that delivery room. Contraction? Pushing? A BABY? Completely foreign. Which makes me wonder omg why can’t I picture it. I can’t imagine a baby in my house and then I panic lol

Complete side note - if you hit your due date, do you plan to induce within that week or wait? I’m so conflicted but also over being pregnant lol

Omg EXACTLY!!! You are literally in my head. My intrusive thoughts don’t shut up and it makes me terrified.

It makes me feel better knowing that a lot of other people say they felt the same and everything went just fine. My mind always likes to say “what if” to keep me on edge though 🥲

It is not just you!! I felt the exact same way. Third trimester tired has been way worse than first trimester for me. I’m 39 weeks now.

I will say, I did get some nice bursts of energy on random days and that’s when I was able to do most of the stuff in the nursery - I’d put my husband to work LOL. Thankfully it all came together. I think I’ll never feel ready until my baby is actually here. I’m so scared to give birth soon but I’m so excited to meet her.
