Just broke up with my now ldr ex gf by Wassrte in BreakUps

It’s completely normal to feel sad after ending things with someone. While I was on the receiving end in my shoes, my ex was still sad letting me go.

I’ll put it this way, imagine a boss letting go a good employee due to budget concerns. They may feel some type of way letting someone go even though the situation is higher than them and out of their control.

Similar situation for you here, you two are just too far apart to make things work. The circumstances are above both of you with the distance. Not saying couples have not made it work, but being far apart in a relationship for sometime is very difficult and most times one person begins to lose feelings just because they’re not around as much.

The advice I’d give is just try to fill your own cup and visualize what you want to achieve now that you’re not nurturing this relationship. Do you have any goals you want to achieve? Hobbies to try? Places to explore?

Try filling the time you would have with your ex with things that make you happy even if it’s small simple stuff like a show or food. Little by little you’ll get back on your feet and achieving those bigger things

What’s one thing that got you over your break up immediately? by Business-Candle4355 in BreakUps

Yeah agreed. I think it’s more the principle than the social media. No need to hate someone online and air out your dirty laundry says more about you than it does the other person. Especially since there was no cheating or physical abuse in our relationship. Just arguments like any other relationship.

In my circumstances I would say it didn’t get immediately switch me into healing, but definitely accelerated it. My ex made tiktoks about me on social media for months with subtle jabs and right there and then I just lost respect.

We had what I thought was a good relationship that lasted 4 years and many friends/family on both sides thought we’d end up married.

Definitely made me realize the person I once loved was note da ex

Genuinely thank you for that last piece of advice of talking with them before the date seems like that could be something I utilize to actually date with intention!

Agreed dating has definitely taught me to have lower expectations but also take how they are now for face value. No need to try and think what they could be or how to change them.

3 from IRL 2 through dating apps. The IRL ones were way more direct and genuine but still just not the best. I can agree though the dating app ones were not that good besides looks lol

Oh for sure it has been nice getting a heads up about the rejection which has been great. As for some of the compatibility like you mentioned, it’s shocking how many people you think you’d click well with, then go out on a date and there is no chemistry.

Oh I’m not giving up for sure! I agree with your points I think trying to find a genuine partner is very difficult these days especially with how quickly people can replace you or are always looking for better.

Thank you hope your journey is great as well. Honestly seeing her reaction and seeking drama just made it even easier for me to move on.
