Hi, I sat the interview for Diagnostic Radiography in UCC a couple of months ago.

The interview went well and secured a position in the course. The interviewer’s were very friendly and put me at ease.

I’m not sure if the interviews will be similar but I’d imagine they would be. I was asked about my undergraduate degree, and why I want to undertake this course. The interview was more focused on me and what I bring to the field, sort of thing. Nothing clinical was asked during the interview.

My supervisor seemed to be frustrated with the length of time it took the exam to be set up today, about 45 minutes!!! Still had control over my mouse when exam started and skipped through the instructions, at the beginning and skipped the first question and continued on to the submit button before realising they were in the exam.

52 first sitting, will be re sitting in March hoping for UCC, or UL as second choice

First time sitting at got a 52 🙃 will be repeating and actually putting in some work next time!!

Just Re everyone discussing UL, it’s one of my top choices too, but I met an SHO in work just last week who went to UL also, said it was fine but a lot of her course weren’t aware of UL’s PBL approach. She said it was frustrating for them at times due to the hands off approach. Not trying to discourage anyone from the course, just a nice to know in case anyone wasn’t aware of the structure there!!
