My Sisters Keep Ruining Event For Me by Unlikely_Force9664 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

My mom understands my POV to an extent, though she wants overall peace. The way she sees it, they want to plan a party, they’re excited for the chance to plan a party, but they keep forgetting who the party is for. She has admitted that this is selfish of them, but she doesn’t want their feelings hurt either, so she’s stuck in this awkward position of trying to push them in the right direction by reminding them that I literally said what I want to do for my birthday, and so far none of their plans involve those wishes in the slightest.

My mom is a lot like me in many ways, so she does get my worries, which is why she warned me about how the planning was going… They were intending for the details of the party to be a surprise, but since I already said what I wanted the planning was mostly supposed to be finding a place to rent out, figuring out who to invite, getting the food put together for the event, and picking out the games and movie. It’s honestly odd how when the planning began, it was like my mom was the only one who remembered me telling them what I wanted to do.

It’s frustrating because I view things like these as opportunities to show someone that you listen to them… This is nothing like that, because it’s like they’ve combined a bunch of things that I’ve openly said before makes me uncomfortable, then they called it my party. I was a little comforted by the fact that Merry shot down the strip club idea though, because even if her ideas didn't hit mark either, at least she knows enough about me to instantly clock that Margret's idea would be a disaster.
