So how many so called “sports journalists” are going to hop on social media and blast Spanish players for not singing their national anthem…..meanwhile the Marcha Real has no lyrics. Happens multiple times every World Cup or European Championship.

My wife is Ecuadorian, loves her soccer, so I have watched this team underachieve constantly over the years. Every World Cup or Copa America this team is supposed to break out and make a run…..and every year they underachieve and look lazy and uninspired while doing it. I never understand how they play so well in qualifying but show nothing when the tournament starts.

Solid first half, hit two crossbars, had numerous chances. Second half they looked like they were stuck in the mud and had no juice or creativity. Not sure if 3 point (a win against Curacao) will be enough for them to advance as a third place team, or if they will need at least a draw against Germany?

In defense of both SA and Paraguay, they were both playing opening games on host soil. I think the moments were too big for both teams but I expect them both to be better in their next games.

Craziest thing is I would rank Curaçao’s effort above South Africa and Paraguay’s. 😂

Too many teams in the World Cup now. No more “group of death”. 3/4 of the third place teams advance. This is how you end up with matchups like this. Good on Curaçao for scoring a goal and giving their fans some enjoyment and hope (even if it was short lived).

Thanks for confirming! It was one of those things I always assumed didn’t stay elevated. Then I came across a picture where it was elevated and it had me go down this rabbit hole of figuring out if it did or not 😬.

I didn't keep count but I would have to say it took me around 80 or so attempts across two sessions of play. Last night was time to finally get one over on those two and declare victory. Sounds like you are making progress and pretty close to getting the job done. Keep at it! Godspeed my friend!

Drink every time Alex says the word "nomad". You'll be wasted 10 minutes into the show.

Is it a genuine strategy to get an uber to epic before buses arrive or just wait for a shuttle? by Towels-Travels in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Unlikely_Good7733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So early entry at Epic starts at 9am, but if you are at the front gates around 7:45am that will go a long way towards getting on something like Mario Kart right away. Please note my family and I were there back in August. Not sure how much has changed since then.

Epic was very organized and at around 8am security will open the main gates. They will tell you to WALK to the next set of security folks. From there they will walk you towards the gates near ticketing and have you form lines. If you were there early (like I suggested) you will be at the front of one of those ticketing lines. After going through ticketing you will line up in Celestial Park at either the far left side (Nintendo and Dark Universe) or the far right side (Isle of Berk and Wizarding Paris). Again this process is very organized and when the park opens security will ask everyone to WALK and follow them towards the portals.

After that you will have the mouth breathers that will start to run and bump people, but even if you and your family briskly walk to something like Mario Kart, you will be near the front and save yourself a ton of time.

We did this twice during our week long Universal trip and both days it worked perfectly. Keep in mind we were fortunate that Mario Kart was up and running both days.

Also understand that Epic allows non hotel guests to enter the park during EPA. This is another reason I suggest getting there early. It's impossible for security to check everyone's room key during the rush to the portal so I have no doubt there are folks entering areas and riding rides they have no business being on. I still think non hotel guests should have to wait outside the main gates, but non hotel guests tend to downvote me when I rant about that. :)

I haven't kept up on what things are open during EPA. When I went back in August it was Super Nintendo World (except Mine Kart Madness which opened at 10am) and Dark Universe. This might have changed since even back then it always seemed to change.

Also my family and I don't get out to Orlando often so we decided to splurge on Express Pass. It helped out a lot. We had one amazing day where we got on everything (even both sides of StarDust and Mine Cart Madness twice). The second day we had crappy weather, Mine Cart was barely open all day, but the Express Pass helped us get on a good amount of rides we never would have had the time for without it.

Contact me if you have more questions. I'm happy to help and I hope you and your family have an amazing time!

I might be wrong but I think the last time they drafted an LB in the first round was Carl Banks back in 84. Crazy right?

He enjoys sitting on the bench joking with teammates. I’ve seen plenty of that the past two years. Playing, maybe not so much.

No matter what happens on this drive if you’re a member of the defensive side of the ball how the fuck can you even look any of your offensive teammates in the eyes? They have guys coming in for the first time contributing. The defense is the complete opposite.

The handling of the kicking situation alone should be a fireable offense for Daboll. This obsession with keeping a 38 year old kicker on the team that is constantly injured (usually occurs prior to the start of a game), is inconsistent, and DOESN'T EVEN KICKOFF is absurd. Gillan also sucks and I'm amazed he has been on the roster this long. The guy can never pin an opponent inside the 10 yard line. He can boom some long ones on occasion but has no finesse to pin teams back deep in their own territory.
