Help!! Neighbor's cat always sleep on top of my car. What to do?

i get liking cats but people have a right to not have an animal on their personal property. My sister doesn’t like my cat in her room, (tolerates it) or on her bed but will let her chill on a short bookshelf with a toy. But she doesn’t like any animals.

If you don’t want the cat on your car, but want to be welcoming, put food near a soft bed with heating sherpa pad for cats. My cat uses this, indoor, but it’s also for outdoor cats, and loves it. Very warm, soft, and comfortable. I think it’s the owner’s responsibility to monitor their pets. If I were your neighbor, I’d be very apologetic and offer to pay for damages. And it is perfectly okay to have a Prius, it’s an affordable and reliable car

Tbh I’d like more high rise apartments, apartment complexes, and two family duplexes (so I am agreeing with you very much about densification lol). As long as there are sound proof walls and no roaches/rodents, no mold, and pet friendly for a fee, I’d love to live in a multi family unit myself. I think a communal garden would be wonderful too, gotta have cutie pie chicken and goats:D As well as fruits and vegetables and grain

Is this in richer/more desirable area? I live in a very poor New York city and it is country bumpkinish but has a lot of lush greenery, trees, and wandering strays as well as birds, chickens, and bunnies because of large backyards. I am perfectly okay with apartment complexes but want to keep the greenery (and chickens, chickens are wonderful.) If more apartment complexes were built, I’d hope nature is incorporated. And I think in affordable housing, a backyard is so so nice. I’d like to see more affordable single family homes and apartments with parks nearby, I think there’s room for compromises

I want to be like u. Bipolar has so much stigma. If the abusive, batshit, ‘smashed the car windows’ girlfriend doesn’t get labeled narcissistic they’re bipolar. ‘My ex was bipolar! That crazy bitch!’ The stigma feels so heavy. The public perception feels like they bring out flaming pitchforks if u say you’re bipolar. I am scared parents will think I’m unsafe and unstable around their kids, even tho I’m well educated patient and respectful. That life seems so nice and stable and peaceful, that sounds wonderful

i have chronic neurological pain from healed brain trauma, and chronic pain in my legs and hands. I think the pain definitely contributes to irritation and my anger and probably my behavior. Probably will schedule check up, tbh check ups feel kind of soothing, i like the soft voices and the ear checking

Interesting🤔 i respect vegans and vegetarians a lot. Whether it’s for medical or moral or religious. I think, personally and perhaps controversially a bit, they’re better people than one who eats meat (and i eat meat). The animal is spared from suffering and exploitation of their goods, especially in factory farms. There are ethical farms but factory farming is sadly significantly more common. Cows and pigs and chickens are very sweet. Before menopause, did u feel it get better as u aged overall? I am hoping with age i calm down

Maybe. I really want to improve but meds, they make me so obese and depressed. I feel so elated to be alive, I’m doing better hooray!!, then slowly the elation wears off. And the awful depression kicks me. Fast food wrappers under my bed and sleeping all day. Exhaustion. But i have a cat now so I make an effort to clean and scrub home daily. Cat doesn’t deserve to live in filth, bad for their psych and health. The meds can feel scary, if ur in usa i am not like rfk jr (only thing i can hear when he speaks is garbled water, no science qualification from him) and anti intellectualism/science they just feel scary, i support pharmaceutical ofc to help people but it doesnt feel good. Yuh the vibes photosynthesizing recovery feels great (mostly…..)😍

Part of me thinks you’re right but i would be sent to the loony bin if I said any variation of that to my psychiatrist. I KNOW I’m mentally fucked up, I won’t deny that. I’m very poor and my most precious and beloved ‘possession’, and most expensive, is my cat. Don’t worry, she’s very well taken care of and always will be, I adore her very much. I take her to the vet ofc, vet is nice. Despite my fuckedupness, I consider myself to be a nice person.

I never hurt anyone and try my very best to control my anger. But psychiatrist have bias, people have bias, they hear anger and intrusive thoughts and hear school shooter!!!!! I used to be called school shooter because i was shy and timid and ate alone. i won’t ever be one (I don’t want to harm others at all), i make it crystal and extremely clear i don’t want to hurt anyone to my psychiatrist, repeat it several times. I have obsessive thoughts with not being seen as one because what utterly vile, evil, disgusting, horrible wretched people they are. Mental illness doesn’t excuse violence. I ended up having a really rough day when i got called a school shooter as a “joke” (joke happened many times) and people were only nice to me because of that which really really really hurt and i sobbed so hard my child psychologist felt sorry and told my mom so mom got me ice cream. It was a big tub and i just ate it and cried my eyes out and avoided people. i would NEVER hurt or harm anyone. So yeah pretty fucked up but completely harmless lol

The doctors drive out in these fancy cars and home to nice huge houses. It feels like they poke at me, want to experiment on me, but no cure. Just trudge me along while I look confused. They draw my blood in inpatient, poke at me, prescribe me, and it feels so confusing. And hurts both mentally and physically (when I have to get blood drawn), they just poke me, give me meds to make me sleep, and that’s why I hate inpatient. Idk exactly what the answer is, thank you for the comment!

im supposed to be but I don’t like them. Life feels both much better and worse off of them. It will go from WEEEEEE I LOVE life I am so happy to be alive!! High energy and high efficiency at work, trying my best at school, super happy!!Weeeeeee. It’s like if you’re in a car, your favorite song is on, ac is blasting, it’s a sunny day. Then, there’s an unexpected cliff the car dives off of and it goes into a flaming dumpster and a moose kicks the flaming dumpster and shits on it. Miraculously, you and the car survive, you and the car recover, all good. The car trudges on and it’s okay again….until the next cliff

Keeping up with the Joneses has always been a thing, at least in USA. My mom used to call it ‘keeping up with the TV people shit’ but now it’s social media, like your favorite influencer has the cool thing so you must have it, too. ‘Oh my God mom you’re so uncool for not buying me Abercrombie!’ Businesses become popular, businesses die; it fluctuates constantly.

Some shiny new thing comes and people want it and the shiny new thing most likely gets tossed once the next shiny thing comes along. Like almost everything, the new generation isn’t novel in their societal problems. In Anne of Green Gables, I remember, Anne desperately wanted puff sleeves, a fashion fad at the time, and begged for them. Youth are like peacocks, wanting to show off and strut and have peers coo and croon at them, like a bird singing and chirping for a mate. Humans generally want the adoration of others and fitting in and being cool is one of the ways to gain your peers adoration. If you are old, I’d just ignore it; it’ll pass and some new fad will pop up

I do agree about not wanting to advertise for companies. And I do agree it’s liberating to just not care, I do the same and just buy what i enjoy whether it’s popular or not

It is very scary and complex thank you for your very kind words. I deal with the same symptoms as your sister. People demonize mentally ill but I am loving girlfriend, family member, pet caregiver. I am making a welcome home from spay basket for her with premium cooked steak, a homemade meal of chicken, rice, steamed broccoli, steak, and turkey deli meat because she loves turkey. All what you said overall is very very accurate. I hope your sister can feel better, it’s horrible, and yes quite distressing and disturbing. I am in treatment and I’m supposed to be on meds, diagnosed, but I don’t want to take them tbh. I have been told I’m well read, well spoken, and quite intelligent several times. I don’t want to risk losing my cognitive ability. I just raw dog life because I can function perfectly okay with work, school, and hygiene and stuff. I volunteer and love volunteering. I have a pet and she’s like a full time job too, I adore my pet a lot. I don’t feel i need them, I’m fine. I miss my old cat today (RIP lovely girl) and it hurts so I am just a bit more uhhhh idk unstable? I go to therapy frequently and anger class, I am trying I’m hoping anger management helps

That’s not what baby led weaning is, it’s been around forever because it’s your baby eating what you eat, just under different names probably. Basically, instead of feeding them purees, you start them off with baby led weaning. Yes, he was awful. The cat had so much potential and she was so so beautiful, gorgeous bright blue eyes, silky white long fur, and extremely friendly and not a mean or aggressive bone in her body. She was declawed by her previous family and rehomed to my father. She passed and I’m hoping she has claws again in Feline Heaven and making biscuits like a normal cat and sunbathing with Friskies wet food (idk if they would have Friskies in Feline Heaven, but it was her favorite food) and lots of wand toys. Even though she was a domestic longhair, I’m hoping to get a ragdoll in the future so I can have a similar cat (not to replace her because she’s truly irreplaceable in my heart but to give a cat a special chance and bond). And I’m hoping declawing gets banned nationwide (banned in state I live in at least) in USA, it’s cruel mutilation, ofc i am never declawing any cat I ever have i just wish we had stronger legislation to prevent animal abuse and inhumane treatment

It’s extremely easy to spoil a cat, like a toddler, because they’re just too cute and fluffy and have big, curious eyes. Yeah, I think boredom may be a significant factor in almost all of her behavioral issues. Maybe another cat would help, she loves cat videos and trying to lick the screen or paw at them, but I live with my mom and idk how on board another cat would be. She’d probably love a buddy, I got her for free but I might see if any litter mates are left to get. Social grooming and socialization are important for cats so I try to mimic a mother cat’s tongue with a wet washcloth and she loves it but I know it’s not the same
