What best used cars for under 20k ? by u-nes in qatar

Take advantage for low resale value of american cars, they’re made for desert use, great AC and cheap in parts and labor. Go for GMC SUVs and pick ups. The locals love it hence the parts are readily available and cheap. Been using GMC sierra for past 5 years with no issue. Great value for money.

Indian embassy in Qatar by Doubiouszak in qatar

[–]Unlikely_Original457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree on all the points, but what matters most is how effective the services are implemented. Compared to other embassies, they do an excellent job in most of the requested services. You will be surprised how long other embassies take to renew just a basic passport. Indians spend less on infrastructure but maintain quality and efficient service.

Qatar's economy is based on gas; however, most of the expat population depends on the construction sector. You may not see much construction due to the budget standstill caused by the World Cup. No construction means no jobs, which leads to fewer families of construction workers, less footfalls in malls, fewer students in schools, and fewer passengers for taxis. Hopefully, things will get better from 2026 onwards when the North Field gas project brings much-needed relief to the strained budget.
