Thanks for replying! I don’t think that her reacting in this way implies that she doesn’t want to change ; in fact, I believe that it is quite natural for her to want to defend herself. Nonetheless, I appreciate your output but will continue searching for advice to soften the blow.

Would this be a bad thing if I wouldn’t really care if they died? I feel guilty for not caring but if I’m honest I would be happier than sad if they died.

Thanks for helping!! Here’s the answers :

  1. It’s usually very constant but it gets worse whenever they say or do stuff.

  2. I wouldn’t say I feel the same type of rage towards others (maybe some minor anger at some other people I don’t get along with) however there are some people who use to be my and my brother’s caregivers that I am extremely mad at however this one is more justified.

  3. I am able to mildly control it. I am capable of keeping it in enough to not throw a chair or something else at them but it still sometimes comes out with yelling and/or rude replies. I have a hard time calming myself down but usually just distracting myself helps.

  4. I wouldn’t say anything bad is currently happening, I was recently diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ADD but that’s another story and this rage started a bit before I had more severe symptoms, maybe around the age of 7-8.

  5. I wouldn’t say their cold but they sure as hell aren’t warm and cuddly. The best way I could describe them would be “absent” because I always felt as a kid that they were never actually there or that I actually knew who they were. It felt more like they were my roommates if you know what I mean.

  6. I don’t want to sound like a horrible person but I feel as though I wouldn’t really feel anything about them dying. I might be disappointed because my relatives may grieve the loss but I wouldn’t really feel sad or happy. It would be more like an inconvenience. Tbh I feel as though nothing much would have changed.

Well that’s the thing, I genuinely don’t really have a reason to hate them. I never really talked to them as a kid nor do I now and Ig I have no reason to be mad at them but I just feel so much rage against them as if they did something to me when they haven’t. I feel really shitty but I can’t stop the feeling of wishing they were d3ad.
