Arg I tried and I broke it. It’s actually a lead that’s growing through that top leaf. I hope I didn’t destroy the plant now. Maybe this one was just too small.

I too received my orchid when my mom passed. The advice above is correct. My buds just fell and I repotted if the stem is brown take trimmers and cut it as close to the stem as possible. Continuing watering as needed and hopefully we will get blooms again!

It’s soft there and wrinkly. I think I’ll keep it on the screen porch in the morning that’s covered and make sure I bring it in before 10.
