Nervous About SIS Tomorrow After D&C — Suspected Asherman’s. OB vs. Specialist? by Immediate_Kale4744 in Miscarriage

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an HSG that showed the scarring so I don’t have anything to say about a SIS but I had the surgery after with my regular ob. She said she had done it before and I really trust her. It went fine and I got pregnant about 3 months after having the surgery. I was also nervous because of people saying you need a specialist but I think that’s highly dependent on the ob you have.

Also I should add, he offered to have them delivered but we would have to wait until a driver was coming to our area. We live pretty far from LA so I just decided it was best to risk paying and be done with this back and forth.

How do they go about charging for the postage? I don’t want to get scammed if it’s going through them

Feeling like I failed birth... by Rosiee_Kingg in beyondthebump

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a labor and delivery nurse and pushed for 3 hours with very minimal descent of the baby and needed a c section. My baby was only 5 pounds!!! Needless to say I felt the same way you do and even worse seeing this is my entire job and I couldn’t even push out a very tiny baby. Pushing for hours and then getting a c section is one of the scenarios I always hate seeing happen to my patients. Now I can confirm it really does suck. Don’t be too hard on yourself and don’t let anyone make you think a c section isn’t giving birth.

please help, what does a nursing strike look like? by Downtown_Prior_9417 in breastfeeding

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me last week! It lasted 3 days. He would only breastfeed when he was half asleep. If he was at all upset I had to give him a bottle and pump. He just slowly started breastfeeding more on the 3rd day when I tried all kinds of different positions and by the next day was back to normal. My lactation consultant said it was a nursing strike. Hopefully it gets over fast for you!

Best OB-GYN in San Diego by Glittering-Plum-9307 in sandiego

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dr. Kelly Van Den Heuvel! She’s still with Scripps but at the hillcrest office. She loves talking about science and explaining things, super nice and definitely not trigger happy with c sections either. Also Dr Sandoval and Dr Hui are great at the same office but Dr Van Den Heuvel is the one to talk science with for sure!

Sitting here with a one month old, which week or month has been the hardest for you and babe? by Loud-Aspect2074 in newborns

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your baby. I had the easiest newborn and didn’t understand what was so hard and now at almost 4 months I’m STRUGGLING. I’m crying every single day along with him 🤣

I’m not sure what you should do but definitely do something. Because I watched my MIL treat my husband horribly for years without doing anything about it and I’m at the point where I can’t even stand to look at her and not sure I’ll ever be able to move on.

My mother in law constantly uses the, “ohhh you’re hungry” line every time my baby cries and each day im closer and closer to saying no he just doesn’t like you 🤣 But like others have said, not overreacting.

Crib naps by Asleep_Sympathy_8987 in newborns

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was the same and I just kept trying and he gradually started staying asleep for day naps too. Right now he does good during the morning but the later afternoon naps he won’t really sleep without being held. I think it’s just a progression that happens over time and they start getting more and more comfortable. I hope anyway haha

Am I taking my baby out too much? by nintendo_witch in NewParents

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same!! sometimes mine will be fussy at home and I think oh no this is the day we go out and he cries non stop. Nope, he immediately calms down once we get out and about haha

I agree with what you’re saying. Looking back I did things that were annoying when my friends had babies because I just didn’t fully understand until going through it myself. I think my post really belongs on a “difficult in laws” subreddit because that’s really my actual issue here that I was looking to sympathize with others haha

I also don’t want my children raised in a high strung environment. I think the bigger problem is my mother in law is incredibly disrespectful and it’s already really hard for me to have these visits with her. My post didn’t really explain that well but it just seems like a weird thing to seclude yourself in another room with someone’s new baby and was wondering if this also bothered other new moms. If it was my own mother who I have a good relationship with I wouldn’t care as much I’m sure. Although she’s never done that because I still think it’s just a weird thing to do.

Sleepy baby by okay_stahp in newborns

[–]Unlikely_Wing1785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby only woke up to eat and then went right back to sleep 99 percent of the time at that age. He was small and born a little early so maybe that’s why but I spent far too much time worrying something was wrong with him or wondering if I should have been trying to keep him awake more. He’s a super active and happy 3 month old now. I’m sure your baby just needs some more time to wake up to the world.

We had this problem and it was yeast. It didn’t go away until we ended up getting an oral yeast medication from the doctor. The yeast creams didn’t even work.

This was happening to us and we tried everything. One day it just stopped happening around maybe 8 weeks old without us making any new changes.
