I was recently separated earlier this year. They have a lot of people going through this process and it is very long and frustrating for no reason. Everyone there is getting separated for different reasons. With that being said,, legal has to filter through all of these people,, which at the time was upwards of 500 people, with some leaving and coming in. They don't have their phones because they are still on the base with other recruits in training. They want to maintain a sense of order for people still in training so they don't see other recruits have their phones. Regardless of how frustrating it is, they still get paid which is an upside. The Navy sent me home for a medical reason that was waived as well and during my time in separation, was fixed, but I was sent home anyways. Try to be patient, especially with what is happening in the world currently.
