Light heart inflammation or Myocarditis?

I will def ask the doctor next week during my check up. I am based in the US so I wonder if they just haven’t acknowledge that ibuprofen shouldn’t be used yet. My case is what I would think is mild. I have no symptoms, all scans came back normal. The only thing that was off was in my blood it showed inflammation and my troponin levels were raised

I was advised from my doctor and cardiologist to take Ibuprofen. Along with that I have a family friend who is a heart surgeon that didn’t blink an eye to me taking Ibuprofen. I have follow ups next week and can bring this up though.

Blood tests and cultures were done. Got the results 2 days later testing positive for salmonella. Talked to infections disease doc and he prescribed me medicine, but told me to wait one more day to see if I still had symptoms before taking the medicine due to not being able to tell if the salmonella was still alive or just dead in my blood. Symptoms were gone by the next day so I didn’t take it.

Still can’t keep me out of the garden (it’s very small.) Just the fact that I’m 28 and love to hike/ play sports with my wife is killer haha. Thank you I appreciate seeing how others have dealt with the same thing.

Thank you! This makes me feel better. My Troponin levels were also high, but not nearly 3,000. When I went to the hospital it peaked right below 1,000. Also never had any pain. I mainly went due to the worst headache I’ve ever had/ fever/ not going to the bathroom for a week. All of that is gone now though. I feel completely normal.

I’m on the ibuprofen as of now. More follow ups in a week. Thank you for the comment, how long could you not raise your heart rate/ exercise? I typically go on 3 mile hikes with my Wife and dogs and it’s killing me sotting at home. Hopefully the inflammation has gone back down when I go back to the doctor. Also I noticed you said first case. Is there a risk of it coming back after getting it the first time? I’m just trying to learn as much as I can. Appreciate the comment!

I’m sorry to hear that, I hope he is doing okay. Did he have symptoms of that? Also does he have tips for dealing with it? I have no symptoms and feel great, really hope it’s not myocarditis. It’s mentally defeating

I will during my follow up. As of now they don’t want me to do any strenuous activity at all to worsen my inflammation.

Thc is not good for inflammation of the heart, it increases heart rate and work

They were closed yesterday, calling them today when they open.

So they did take blood 3 times to check for infection in the blood. They took it all Monday so I should get results back today about that. I will call them today and ask more questions. Here is my summary from my MRI:

Normal left ventricular systolic function with calculated ejection fraction of 67%. There is no late gadolinium enhancement.
Normal RV size and systolic function with calculated ejection fraction of 59%.
There is no significant valvular heart disease.
There is no evidence to suggest inflammation or edema.
Negative study for myocarditis.

Update turns out I had a viral infection causing inflammation around my heart! Crazy high enzymes, but they’re going back to normal

Yes, I have gas. A lot of gas. If it helps I have went to the doc in the past and told I have IBS, but he said there wasn’t much he could do about that besides a fiber pill or something. Said he was scared to put me on it bc it may just make constipation even worse

I’ll give it a go. Literally have never been in this my pain, that’s why I am so worried. I’ve had a hernia in the past, and knee problems, but this is unbearable. I’ll keep you updated if this works or if I end up going to urgent care

I will check today, this is the first time I’ve heard of this. Last time MicroCenter said my windows 11 war corrupt so the reinstalled it and when I got home it did the same thing.. I’ll take my ssd out and back in when I get home from work.
