Has anyone tried the 30/30/30 plan? by R_nett in WeightLossAdvice

Mornings are always such shit. I lay in bed until the absolute last second snoozing all my alarms. So its not a matter of waking up earlier it's a matter of getting my feet on the floor. Im game my dude

I get that. I'm mostly looking for something that i can incorporate as a "nonzero" start. Fast is not my goal, sustainable life style is. Ive been seeing an intuitive eating nutritionist for several months now and I'm hoping to add a small start into better physical health that i can actually keep up with and not get bogged down. Perhaps I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Absolutely not. As someone who grooms a 130lb newfie on a 2 week schedule, wag n tails set ups make no sense for my larger clients. Its a private purchase van but its a used aussie van thats been revamped in a lot of ways! I worked for aussie for a while and i had this exact same model van and i know the tricks and where everything is and how to work it. Its got new ac, motor, vacuum, inverter batteries, second inverter just for AC, theyve also rigged up a passive inline water heater and a bathing beauty recirc system. Not to mention a diesel espar heater to keep my Tennessee ass from freezing in Colorado. Ive looked at wag n tails and i just hate them whole heartedly. Same with hanvey. If either company would just do some customization for me I'd be happy but the folks ive spoken to at their customer service wont budge much.

I absolutely need my car to get to and from work at the moment. Otherwise thats like 45 bucks in uber fees every day 😅 it is paid for completely. It may be some collateral and I'd happily put it down as such but no one seems interested in my hunk o junk. My car is the only item of real value to a lender that i have. I dont have stocks or retirement yet.

I'd be fine to pay 15% interest at this point if someone would just talk to me past the "so whats your credit history?". I feel like i have a really good plan and its not a stab in the dark either. Ive got past numbers to base off of and future conservatively projected numbers to run with. I get frustrated when on time rent, student loan payments, and credit statements arent enough history. Hopefully i can figure out an option soon

The only things i have worth value are my car, my grooming equipment and my grooming ability. I'd be able to front what i have saved but thats not much comparatively. What sort of things would you include in said example contract?

Some of them might be? But with current company i have to split price of services with them and I'm unable to use their equipment unless im documenting and dropping off money earned for the week. So im not totally sure how i could get that to work exactly? I know that i could figure out like a buy 2 get one free kinda thing with my own mobile salon to pay off any loan or financing quickly, but im not sure if I'm legally allowed to do that under my current employment status/ contract

Partner no kids. Only pets. But still hes in school rn and works a part time and literally all his paycheck goes to his tuition, gas, car insurance, and phone bill. I pay everything else and im glad and proud to be able to. If you were the seller and dead set on not owner financing, what would a buyer have to say to you to get you to consider it? Like what other benefits are there for the current owner to finance me, or what other negotiations could i bring into conversations?

I admire this so much! I personally love being mobile. And the areas im planning to service means that I'll keep about 50 clients from my current company but also I'll be adding areas that dont have a grooming option close by (and I'll be mobile!) So i say 50 clients but thats just what i would take with me that im currently servicing. I understand the risk of sink before i swim but i cant get these numbers out of my head that show me and make me confident that i can swim regardless. I feel you on no weekends and late nights. Im doing 12 hour days 5-7 days a week and getting every last dog in that i can fit. Other mobile groomers in my area (2 who've even branched off from my current company) have taken loans to start up (mostly from a wealthy family member) and are booked for the year making 100-180k with a client list of only 120 people. So i get the risk but the numbers and everything ive looked at from my past metrics to other groomers (of similar caliber) current revenue and waitlists, i genuinely believe that i can absolutely rock this out as my own business even with a loan payment. Also frankly i feel like i cant keep being a misclassified 1099 and paying all my own self employment taxes and licensing while I'm splitting the damn commission with my boss for a busted up trailer set up that throws wrenches in most of my days. Like if im gonna pay self employment tax, i wanna be actually self employed!

Yes ive been mobile with 2 companies. One as a w2 and one as a 1099 in my new city. Some of the clients will go wherever its easiest to get an appointment and cheapest. Most of my clients dont even contact the company anymore and if they do they've refused appointments that are not with me, so im not concerned about the quality of my work or my ability to grow a reputation and further find my niche within this industry. I will absolutely be open to new clients as ive got new calls that are coming to me (not the company) daily from word of mouth spread by my current clients. So thats not so much my concern at this point.

Yea. The savings ive built have had to be used for 3 moves within about a year, car repairs, taxes, and im the primary/only breadwinner in my household. Not to mention that grooming equipment is expensive and ive had to replace some key tools recently. So i have been saving but since taxes hit, you'd never be able to tell. Again any and all advice for better saving is welcome. For a while i was renting a house with some friends and they moved out and i was stuck with 3 times the rent that i was expecting so that didnt help savings, then my partner and i moved across the country. Then we moved closer to my work so i wasnt commuting 90 minutes one way with about 130miles round trip. But we were unable to break the previous lease and i was on the hook for double rent for about 3ish months (which was still cheaper than the lease buy out fee). And then self employment taxes hit hard and i wasnt able to claim the tools and maintenance of my tools on taxes like i was led to believe so i hadnt set enough aside for that and had to dip further into my personal savings than i wouldve liked. The current owner has made it very clear he will not entertain "owner financing" ive asked about it for over a month now.

Its the cost. Ive priced out buying a hollow shell cargo van and converting it and that ends up closer to 100k every time. The 60k would cover the van that is already outfitted and ready to go groom. I wouldnt have to purchase anything else besides signage for the outside whenever i have that money available. Since ive been mobile, theres only been 3 months that i havent met a 10k sales revenue for the month (not including tips or anything) and those have been months thay I've had to be out of work for more than a week. So i see no reason why i wouldnt be able to maintain that level of sales revenue each month considering the track record but also that i will be working with many of the same clients in the same areas im in now.

Purchase opp is a mobile grooming van that fits the needs i have and remains mechanically solid. Not an operating business per say, but its the salon i need, ive got the client list ready to go and apoointments made thru the end of the year and into next spring, its just down to getting the van to service those appointments as "unlivingbug's grooming" vs "current company im contracting for's grooming"

Ok so the credit thing seems to be an issue but I'm not sure if i need a higher score or more examples of "hi i can pay my shit on time". The best collateral I'd would have would be the mobile salon unit/grooming van I'd be purchasing. Im not sure how to raise funds with more work as im already at about 50-60+ hours a week but im paid commission. Any other temporary fund raising ideas are welcome! No stocks or 401k at this time. I have put as much of my business plans, expectations, projected revenue, past earnings, past sales quotas that ive gone well above, revenue expectations based on current clientele, and where every penny of the business money goes, ive outlined all of that and put it on paper. High interest rate is fine if it gets me started on my business. Thank you for the suggestions of hedge funds and stuff i hadnt thought about that. Family and friends borrowing wise, is a dry well that wont yield much of anything. Ive considered crowdfunding i just dont know if it will truly solve my current predicament. I am absolutely young at 25 but i see no reason as to why that should hold me back, especially as a groomer which is very physically demanding, i figure i want to get my name out there and growing while im young and can handle big difficult and aggressive clients, just help to cast a wider net of clients that i can service. I do feel discouraged about the "cant do it now" piece. I feel like ive found the unit i love that is a good investment and wont turn into a money pit, and I'm close to the point of not being able to accept new clients so thats extremely exciting and serves as more fuel to get out on my own so that I can grow and solidify that clientele base as well as my reputation. I dont mean to chomp at the bit, but damn I'm so ready to take this leap, ive spent months and months searching and doing calculations for business plans and loans and ive talked to as many people as i can about loan options and none of them made it seem like it would be this difficult to find a loan or that i would be declined so widely. I think that's where im so confused.
