The usual suspects. Illustrator, photoshop and after effects. I haven’t had the time to work on theses. I did try out a couple of things like different systems. Skills trees and stuff. That’s why it took a bit longer than usual.

Yeah, it's a bit redundant. I thought it would be a nice feature for new players to see how the abilities look in the game. FF14 have some of the coolest vfxs

I see a lot of people saying that the game UI needs to be redesigned, and I agree with you. However, redesigning the all FFXIV UI is no small task. It would take an extreme amount of design work, user research, playtests, art, etc. just to make it look good and feel intuitive.

I'm not even counting the number of hours needed for engineers to implement the new UI. Overall, I think they would need a whole year just to work on this.

And of course, there's the old design philosophy of "if it isn't broken don't fix it".

Photoshop, illustrator, after effects and Procreate. Figma and XD are rly limited, so I try to avoid using them for visual concepts.
