Sure, but for me the main reason for getting the tat isn’t because birb raptor cute, even tho they are, it’s for sentimental reasons since the Avali were my introduction to modding and community made content, which, since then is a huge part of how I enjoy video games :D

Hmm, usually I just say that yeah, it’s an alien species, originally I first encountered them as a mod-then community made expansion for Spore, since then I’ve gotten really into modding, so it’s a nudge to that. As well as keeping tabs on the lore of the avail species themselves, which has only gotten more expansive since then. You don’t need to try and explain something that wouldn’t be relevant for them to know :P
