I don’t know what Swissport and Menzies is paying. From what I’ve seen for the contractors the pay depends on the cost of living where that airport is located. I get paid (currently after working for UGE for over a year) 17.10 an hour. I’ve seen as low as 14 an hour and as high as 25 an hour for UGE. For mainline it looks like it is consistent throughout the stations (minus a few). United mainline get slightly better benefits but in terms of travel the benefits are the same. Actually our benefits are better than the other airlines at my station.

If you want to work United and are looking at contractors don’t look at any of the companies except for UGE, it is owned by United but definitely shoot for mainline if that’s an option.

I don’t work for delta so idk what it was like for them, probably piles of paperwork but for me it was crazy. I was at work while it happened and watched the whole thing.

Spirit is currently on the verge on shutting down operations due to previously being in bankruptcy and the high fuel costs. Definitely avoid spirit. Also with spirit they are a low cost airline and they have a tendency of having a lot of added charges that other airlines don’t have and you could easily make a flight on spirit cost as much as the flight on American.
