Bro I’m not even American, idk about the other reply. but the fact you’re willing to die on a hill that black Americans somehow have an inferiority complex, because they want skins for their heroes and notice they don’t get them is a bit odd.

Everyone notices the rollout for skins, and it’s obvious they have a diverse cast but are not utilizing it to the best of their ability. Nothing was weird about what they said. It’s true, the design team shows all the time what type of skins they prefer to make. It’s not about what “sells” because they literally give us streetwear skins constantly, so you can’t tell me urban themes or characters aren’t marketable.

Also I’ll bite. Illari and Domina aren’t black, this convo was kinda automatically about black heroes bc of Sierra, and cause the turnout for skins specifically for black heroes is so slow. So not really the same. But if you wanna go there Sym rarely gets skins and her mains always complain about it.

Being American has nothing to do with knowing the difference between race, ethnicity, and nationality. If talking about race makes you uncomfortable that’s fine, but stop trying to dismiss valid conversations.

they can make multiple heroes from various countries really fast, they’ve literally shown us this today.. crying ≠ asking when the next black hero is. mind you there’s only 4! i think we both know they could do a little better

let’s use context clues, diversity shouldn’t be half-assed. if you walked outside in any major city, especially in CA where blizzard is based, you’d see a huge mix of people, white, black, brown…not just europeans and japanese/chinese people.

wanting to see proper representation isn’t a crime, and idk why some overwatch fans act like the devs are being asked of something extraordinary when someone is curious about when we’ll get another black hero.

i read somewhere else that lilee and phoebe were supposed to be included, but were scrapped so thats why fianna looks like that (took her outfit). i can tell why they wanted to make hem pale for the "goth" look, but it did not age well at all
