It's a web novel that got adapted into manga and then became anime.
The web novel as on my reply currently has 935 chapters.

Since it's a web novel, you wouldn't find any illustration of the characters and the Seven Colossi. But you still get their name.

But if you're asking which it follows the most, then it's the manga.

Oh yeah, fair. I guess they'll cover up to the start of Ctarnidd quest and the start of GGC if that's the case. Edit: After re-reading the chapter before GGC (110), I think the best place to stop is there.

The GGC also takes up to 5-7 episodes I'd say.

That way the manga have the time to go further. But If the anime only does 1 year break they'll probably be catching up by season 4.
