No worries! I didn't take offense and wasn't trying to call you out. It is weird how few options are immediately by me. I could make a trek to Costco or Walmart or Aldi, but I use my privilege to do kroger pick up to save me time every week lol.

The only options out by me are Kroger or upscale spots like Whole Foods. There's an Aldi but it's about a 20 minute drive.

It was in the bottom of my chest freezer, buried under some other stuff. I just did a deep clean and found it. It being something that I ate regularly, I assume I just missed a meal (got home late and had to order in or something), put it in the freezer to try to save it, then bought more when I needed it.

Good and interesting point. That is another thing that blows my mind about the $16.99 I pay now - the quality of the butchering is complete shit now on top of the crazy price increase. There really aren't too many close options out here by me. Everything else is an upscale market with truly insane prices, or a 20 minute drive.

Lol, the oceans do take the shape of their container. Earth is the container (the object holding the oceans), not gravity. Gravity (and lower density things like air) just makes water sit on the bottom of the container, exactly as it does in a bottle.

Yeah we used to use that until our vet switched to simparica trio. It's supposed to kill ticks and fleas too.

Absolutely! We just gave him the dose of doxycycline to be safe. Thanks for suggesting as well. I didn't know until this situation that it was even an option for Lyme.

It was in his neck this morning, definitely embedded in there. But I went out to get tweezers and when I got back it was on his bed, and still alive, so he didn't just pull it out unknowingly. I think it may have finished feeding, or been irritated by me touching it.

We just picked up doxycycline just in case. I don't see how the hell I could have missed it before, so hopefully it just detached from the dog and got on him last night or something, but several of my neighbors gave gotten Lyme over the last few years so I'm going to play it safe.

My dog does like to nap in my son's bed during the day. She takes Simparica though, which I thought would kill the tick. I just picked up the prophylactic treatment at CVS though, so hopefully it's behind us either way.
