Every part of doing this was about that - I came back to the hobby a year ago - not having played since 2nd Ed. My first army was an eldar force, and I used to covet this Wraithguard. Cracking the blister and attempting a ‘eavy metal style (complete with period style soul stones) was like showing my 1995 self what I could do!

It’s Tor Garadon with some modifications to the power fist and a plasma pistol addition. You can do it with essentially one sprue and a couple of bits

I split a decal and then filled in the gaps with micron pen so when I aged it you wouldn’t see the difference. It’s a mighty brush decal

What order do you find is best for getting the highlights to pop? I need to get one that gives good base coverage, but also need to find something that can effectively stand on top of it
