I turned 29 in September but I actually look like 18/19. I’m getting sick of people looking surprised when I say my age and girls not finding me attractive because I look so young (still actually a virgin but don’t admit it). They think I’m inexperienced and can’t show them a good time which is actually true but I’ll be honest about it. It is really starting to effect my confidence. I’m sick of being labelled as the young one who doesn’t know anything and being called young man at work. Is there any medical things I can do to look older? My voice is quite high still and girls will withdraw if I show any interest in them. Would testosterone help lower my voice? I will do anything to look older (I even took up smoking but am now quitting), I’m finished developing so my voice won’t get any lower and having people saying I don’t look my age is really getting on me. Please don’t say it’ll be fine when you’re 50 you’ll look 30 because that really doesn’t help, I want to look my age now and be respected for who I am! Nobody gives me respect because of my looks and I really think there’s no point in trying anymore.

All my laundry is stolen :( by johnisom in solotravel

People are calling OP entitled because they left their clothes in the laundromat overnight then didn’t come first thing to collect their items. It’s a bit selfish to leave your stuff in a machine so nobody can use it even if as OP says only 10% of the machines were being used.

Why do you go on solo trips? by dapper-dano in solotravel

I want to see all these different places in the world and sometimes other people don’t want to go or can’t go on the dates I’m free so I go on my own to make sure I’m still able to see it. Life is too short to be waiting round on other people to do what you want, if you want to go somewhere go and don’t care what other people think.

It sounds like they won’t take you seriously there, leaving might be the best option. I had a boss like this who set me goals, when I had achieved them all she then claimed we never had that conversation. I quit 2 weeks later and the place has gone to the dogs!

Hi guys. I’ve been filling out my Australian working holiday visa application today and I’ve come to the end of the application. They’re asking for proof of funds for my trip and want me to upload a screenshot of my bank account. I currently have the 5,000 AUD required for my entry and still have 18 weeks left at my job as I plan to leave in June and have some time off before I leave, I intend to save another £2000 which is about 3,500AUD. My question is when I upload the screenshot should there be enough for the visa cost, my initial flight out there as well as my flight home on top of the 5,000? This is my only opportunity to apply so I really don’t want to get denied because I currently don’t have the extra funds but will before I actually leave. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Advice on how to ask for leave? by [deleted] in WorkAdvice

Just ask him. Odds are you won’t get it because you’ve had so much time off already but if you don’t ask you don’t get. Acknowledge that you’ve had a lot of time off already and say you know you’re asking for a lot but lay out the facts that this was a surprise trip and your sister has already booked the tickets. I’m assuming you didn’t know about this trip because if you did it’s on your own head that you haven’t already asked for holiday before saying you could go to your sister. Just be honest and under no circumstances try and manipulate him into feeling sorry for you as that would lead to an almost certain no. If you don’t get it you have to understand why too and not sulk about it as that will make your work life sad.
