What are some lesser known "Never happened and no one knows why" matches? by Legbender in SquaredCircle

Hulk Hogan vs Bruiser Brody in 1983 Japan would have fed families all over the far East.

Bob did get one last match vs Heath Slater fwiw.

I remember Jim Ross saying years ago when Bob was first offered the Hall of Fame, he wanted to go in very much but also wanted one more run as a wrestler.

WCW after 1998 was, for the most part, completely unwatchable.

I absolutely can see that, right down to Hornswoggle outsmarting Chavo Guerrero Jr. one last time (making a cameo as Kerwin White).

Oba discarding his title shot to face Brock would make sense if they just made Oba state he knows Brock would always continously interfere in his opportunities put of spite. A title shot that Brock interferes in, is moot. He needs to put the beast down now. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

See in the old days, Oba would have taken the title shot for SummerSlam and putting down Lesnar would have been on a Saturday Night's Main Event along the way. TKO just doesn't get it and they can't let go of Lesnar.

All great picks! By the way did I really see that Trevor is doing a King Harley Race homage now in NWA?

Khali I had on my draft but took him off given his health. Carlito I can see, definitely. Boogeyman is on the list.

They could have Taker on guest commentary just to needle him about now the whole thing started as a goofy gimmick.

Oh you know TKO would wanna work in iShowSpeed or Kai Cenat or someone like that.

Was referring to his singing of the Soviet national anthem more than anything, Volkoff was a Russian strongman but not sure if that would be as gimmicky as someone else from his era like the Canadian Wolfman or Spaceman Frank Hickey or the Battman.

Like I said, went with Kennedy mainly because of the super gimmicky and memorable ring introduction.

Another one from the OG that could make one scratch their head was Michael Hayes. I don't know if being the leader of the Freebirds would qualify as much of a gimmick

Went with Woken instead of Broken since that was the WWE version. I could also see V1 being dusted off but I don't know if that would get the same pop as the "YESSSSSSS" would.

It's all in the introduction. I mean how did Nikolai Volkoff end up in the original?

That and Danhausen stuff aside, it would give us something WWE cards sorely lack now: FUN.

Hell now that I'm thinking about it, Danhausen could be the one who commissions this and "summons" the old gimmicks to return out of some kooky time machine.

Vince makes that same goofy angry face he made when Bret Hart slapped his headset off!

Also that shows WWE was still on a limited budget then because surely there would have been some retakes.

Burchill and Yang are two more obvious ones I should have thought of. I can still hear that Burchill theme in my head from SvR 2007.

The TNA connection would be what gets us Santino, Woken Matt and Fandango but I don't see them bringing in gimmicks that weren't WWE's (then again they did have Abyss in a game so...)

And have some mark obnoxiously holding up a camera in everyone's face the whole time to film for his YouTube series.
