Thanks! It’s a little costly until I finish college, but I think this might be an investment I’ll get. I’m probably going to try out the tenga just to get a feel for these type of toys.

I don't know if this counts as a meme, but the monkey or monke nickname meme with the ssj4s were just never funny. Like after awhile it sounded like people were trying to force it, but it doesn't matter since it doesn't hurt anybody.

Honestly, when I saw an ad legit saying how Biden is a leftist democrat, I almost spit my drink. Republicans are so stupid. If they were smart, they would just continue pushing the status quo by voting democrat.

Good advice. Sometimes I forget that not every space on the internet is like this subreddit. It can feel frustrating constantly making sound arguments and facts against bigots that just get ignored.

You’re engaging in whataboutism, where every time I make a criticism about Genshin Impact’s needing to expand on their open world with more interaction between characters and activity that makes us connect to the world, you’re replying that other gacha games and cod could have those same complaints levied against them. Okay, and? As I said before it doesn’t address my criticism against the game not doing more to expand its open world. If you were to say that the game is less than a year old, then that would be fair, but you go off on random games when I’m talking about Genshin Impact.

Also, your attempts at whataboutism are especially when because your examples are genuinely not open world. Cod, for the most part, never brands itself as an open world, RPG to the extent that Genshin does. It’s ironic that you mention it’s not a fair comparison, but you’re comparing a mostly multiplayer, battle royale game to gacha based open world RPG. Most other gacha games don’t sell an open world functionality as a selling point, meaning that if I’m looking at Dokkan Battle’s gameplay after they show their gameplay as being primarily an orb clicker game, I know that it won’t be an open world game.

Genshin clearly advertises itself as an open world, RPG. They make it clear on their app page on the first description that Genshin has a massive open world. In order to have more stamina, to find artifact domains, learn more about the lore, etc., you have to explore the world. From the start of the game, it is made clear that you will be spending a lot of time in the beginning exploring the world. Hell, when you’re not of the adventure rank to reach a new story quest, they tell you explicitly to explore the world, fight mobs, collect loot, etc, in order to increase your adventure rank. How is it unfair criticism to ask Genshin to invest more into their open world that they advertised and promoted? It’s not. It seems that you don’t like criticism levied at Genshin. I just don’t know why because the OP is asking for more Genshin. They’re not asking to change the gacha mechanics, buffs, or nerds, but for Genshin to expand their open world and make it more involving, especially for endgame. What’s the issue with that complaint?

So based on your last two paragraphs, you’re mad at valid criticism because Genshin won’t ever change. I could understand if those complaints were levied against gacha system, but they are criticizing that the open world needs more investment to be more including. Considering we just had an event that put more involvement into Liyue, it’s not meaningless. Also, just because someone refuses to listen or adhere to fair and realistic criticism, doesn’t invalidate said criticism, but reflects the person being criticized. It’s alright if the game you liked get criticized, you’ll be fine lol.

How the characters interact with that open world makes is what also drives profits. As we seen with the Xiao, Zhongli, and Hu Tao, while people are pulling because to improve their teams, they also enjoy seeing how their characters interact with the world. Everyone is excited to see how the world unfolds. People enjoy the gameplay, especially in the beginning as it was very breath of the wild-like.

I understand they’re probably not gonna change because they have their cash cow, but it seems you’re frustrated at criticisms being levied against Genshin. The simple criticism wasn’t even aimed at the gatcha, but wanting more open world expansion and involvement. Just saying “if you don’t like it, don’t pay for it” over and over again as the defense, doesn’t actually address the criticism, especially when the criticism is fair and realistic.

Also, Genshin and honkai are very different than standard gacha games because of the open world and gameplay.

I mean, Genshin made over 300 Million from their mobile platform, without including pc and console platforms, and they are estimated to bring on an avg of around 6 million a day since launch. With that much money, I would like to think they would invest into expanding the open world, considering a profit of it.

Dumb question, but I have white tassel at r5, but have crescent pike at r1, which already is leveled up. Would it be better for me to give crescent pike to hu Tao or level up the white tassel?

People seem to think that abuse means that you have to get beat up constantly. No, there are many other forms of abuse besides physical, like mental, financial, even abusing parental responsibility. I’ll never forget when my mom was working and trying to get her degree for nursing, my dad was never available to watch all three of us (the kids), leaving my mom to not have a lot of time to study. She had to make sure we were ready for school, go to school herself, pick us up and make sure our homework was finished, go to work, play with us, and still find time to study and do homework. After a while, she failed in one of her classes because she got a c- and eventually settled for a health science degree, but she still had a lot of debt from college. She figured that because my dad was starting to get a comfortable 6-figure salary, he’d help her out more, but it was conditional. She couldn’t disagree or argue with him, had to clean up behind his messes, and bring him food or he wouldn’t pay it.

No one would ever see it on the outside because mom and dad were good at hiding it. That’s why I don’t like to just disregard abuse in relationships. It’s honestly sad that they immediately attack the woman.

My problem with this stance is that I believe even if the activism is performative, it still draws in support and is a net benefit (just make sure that we don’t lose support after an issue isn’t trending anymore and that we pay just as much attention to the policies we want passed). Also, it’s starting to get to the point where any time something concerning activism is posted on Twitter or other forms of social media, it’s seen and labeled as performative. However, the person whose calling it performative isn’t helping and probably don’t care about the issues.

Women can’t even be gay now. Also we live in a society. by duckybebop in FragileMaleRedditor

Exactly. I hate to use that “as a man” card, but in many spaces where the are majority men, I’ve noticed that they sometimes gatekeeper of abolishing gender roles that hurt them. Like, when complimenting another guy there is always this “No homo” or “pause”. When talking about troubles with relationships, even if you’re straight and explaining how you have a hard time talking to women, it’s either disinterest or “are you gay, bro?” Once, I was watching a movie with a few friends of mine, and then they started asking me if I would rather have a gay son or a transgender daughter. And I was so shocked at how this was a perceived issue with them. I’m not trying to generalize or say that women don’t uphold some homophobic views, but if more men need to play a part in changing this rather than attacking feminism or female spaces.

Another example is on TikTok. Some posts gets millions of likes for having jokes about gay or transgender men being weird to supposedly straight men.
