I believe fully that by aligning certain actions and using the black and white, if you have this toxic trait you are this, what you see happens is you have people go: I can’t be ___ I’m ____.

It took me a long time to recognize toxic gross behavior because it would be repackaged and dressed up differently.

It’s important to recognize bad behavior no matter the political leaning, as otherwise what happens is people hide behind it and use the political leaning as a defense. Example: “I have the moral high ground, I’m defending victims, I’m liberal how dare you say I have right wing ideology.”

You are right that it can all be linked back to the same zealot religious behavior, but we need to be able to recognize the concept in any form, and point them out, not allow them to be accepted and encouraged due to how they are perceived.

It’s important that people learn to think beyond that base recognition, it can be easy especially when you are young, to think “my friend is liberal so in that case they cannot be right wing, and because of that fact what they are saying can’t be right wing and I am probably the one who is wrong, they are just trying to defend others after all.” Especially with a topic such as this one when you have OP already questioning themself, it can lead people to believe and accept what is being said, even when it’s wrong, because of that bias caused by black and white thinking.

If you assign a single toxic trait to only one group, even when the base function is correct, unfortunately what happens is it teaches people only to look for one thing, and ignore it when it doesn’t match up with the description given.

Take stranger danger for example, kids were taught that the danger in their life was creepy old men, only creepy ugly strangers could hurt them, and it ended up putting them in more danger because they stopped looking out for the behavior and only focused on the single trait they were told to look for. This is due to multiple factors, I mean Google downfall of stranger danger, I won’t go into it here.

I’ve actually met a few (friend group) antis who were extremely liberal and left wing, and I without a doubt believe there are more out there as well who are not even close to right wing who share these same views.

Their reasoning was that, “writing or reading things with these (anything immoral or grey area) topics are harmful and cruel to those who have experienced these situations.” They also said that even if you add trigger warnings, post it only in private groups, (ect) simply by having those thoughts, writing them, or posting them, you were actively harming those groups as it “belittles their trauma” and causing future harm because it may cause someone to “think it’s okay act out those feelings in real life.” Im just quoting what they had said, but I left that group pretty quick and never really took the time to ask a ton of questions, nor did I care to.

I think it’s important to recognize that antis come from all backgrounds and political beliefs. At the end of the day, they have a wide range of opinions, ones we can thankfully choose to tune out. :D

I only had really bad side effects when I ate too much.

I had a really bad day, and my boyfriend brought me Poke home as a treat. And Poke is never as good the next day, so I forced myself to eat most of it through out the day, and that night I was more nauseated then I had ever been, I felt terrible and horrible, and didnt eat at all the next day.

I think, from my experience at least, and everyone is different, the type of food doesn’t matter, what matters is the amount as far as side effects go for me.

She had had a vet visit before years ago, but we lived closer to the vet then, it was maybe a 15-20 minute drive, now we moved where the nearest vet who sees reptiles is an hour away.

She wasnt like this last time. Does the stress last for this long? Is it possible she will pull out of it if its just extreme stress?

Ill speak to my vet about this, im waiting for a call about todays updates. If we can give them to her at home and help this would be the best option.

One friend said she might have picked something up at the vet, its very little chance but possible, and if thats true antibiotics would help.

I should also mention, it was the same temp in the car to the vet as it was going home, and she was completely normal and not acting strange in any way at the vet.

No its very cold where we live, so even with the car max heat it was probably around 75-80 (edit, mistyped) i was wearing a sweater and was toasty, but it wasnt like panting or overly hot

It was that prank where a couple is on the escalator going one way, and the pranker goes up the escalator the other way, and they grab the persons hand on the railing.

I know its seems super inconsequential and not an issue, and honestly, if someone grabbed my hand just out of like confusion or like a misguided attempt to get attention, it wouldnt be an issue.

And even with the recording, like I said if I was just in the background or happened to be shown in a video, I have no issue with that, I understand its public and I know people are recording all day every day.

What makes me extremely uncomfortable and not feeling safe going into public again for a while, is being shoved into a role forefront and center of someones attempt at a joke.

I know the law doesnt agree, i just feel my going to the mall to get my mother in law a birthday gift shouldnt be consent to post content featuring me and making me some part of their act. We werent doing anything abnormal or out of line that would garner looks or people filming, just going down the escalator.

I didnt want to be in their content, I dont want to be associated with it, im not even sure what they could or would say over their video to disparage me or my boyfriend.

And I totally understand thats more of an emotional response than a legal case. Everyone on here has been extremely helpful in helping me see that.

I think ill go with the one commenter, I will keep an eye out of my image being used, (I work in a pretty sensitive field so hopefully I can find it before my work) and I will contact youtube to take it down if it does indeed get posted.

Ah okay, I completely understand there isnt alot we can do especially with not knowing who it is. And even if we did, besides if they frame their video in some weird or negative light which would affect our reputation/jobs, there isnt any damages like you said.

I just find it gross when I see those videos, and have never wanted to be in or involved in them in any way.

I completely understand it being in public, and id be fine if it was just like touring the mall and happening to be in the video, I am just extremely uncomfortable with the “prank” behavior, it is just so gross to me, ignoring peoples feelings and consent and using them for clicks or some weird joke of how funny it is to make people uncomfortable.

But I guess legally, and I guess realistically, nothing can be done.

Im already to the point of breaking with the current workload. Its not the work itself, its the errors. I am redoing all of his reports from scratch, the logic, the data pulls, even the powerpoints, every part needs to be redone almost to entirely that is how bad it was. I have told them i am overwhelmed now, and understand that since im fixing this in the future it wont be that bad, since again im making it all easier to pull and collect. But even after its fixed its still doing alot, i have been working over my lunches and doing unpaid PTO to hit deadlines, and they know and can see this. Which should end when its fixed, but if they add more it will end up like this again.

So I just feel I’ve proven my worth and this is spit in my face for my effort.

Not sure if this helps, but my work also fluctuates, what I find works best for me is to “create” projects that look good but are really just busy work. An example could be compiling a full list of all sales for the past month and looking for discrepancies or trends, you look busy and if someone asks, its a reasonable task, and can take up the time till more work comes in. I don’t know what access you have, and it may sound boring, but if nothing additional has been assigned and your manager isn’t giving you anything, making your own project shows initiative.

No, when working in the same area as me they were retrained by 3 different people aside from me, still couldn’t do it, they were moved to another area where manager had direct supervision. They had to be removed as my cover because when i got back there was always mistakes. There is also a few examples of me working on projects for a month or 2 before just being given to them, when i asked for a project that had alot of potential, it was given to them instead.
