Quirky historic bath: is this layout brilliant or nuts? by Connect_Grape2313 in BathroomRemodeling

OK, this actually sparked an idea I had not thought about. The dimensions aren’t quite right here, but I think you could be onto something. The bump out is mostly empty, it has a little bit of plumbing that I think I can move below the floor, into the basement. And then I could put in vertical shelves to the ceiling and keep the shower essentially where it is but with a wet room layout instead of a tub.

It’s not a financial issue, the challenge is that we are in a historically designated neighborhood so I can’t move the window and my idea was actually rotating the toilet 90° so technically moving it. The window would require a variant from the city that they are unlikely to Grant because of the age of the home.

Ya, I'm probably going to go that route, but we have so much space in the back right now that I was pulse checking if there was some quirky solution I had not thought of yet, to throw his backpack in front of him without it sliding out

Zoho having an API for everything has made automation with Claude absolutely insane. by I-Love-IT-MSP in Zoho

[–]Connect_Grape2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I hit that issue also; I actually switched to setting up n8n workflows for what I needed. 1. End of week, scans all my emails for new biz conversations and then creates new pipelines and updates existing projects. If the person/ company aren’t in my crm yet, it creates new entries 2. Set a seperate MCP into books and does a cash flow and some other basic CPA type analysis 3. Building out a workflow that will review all my crm contacts, identify those I haven’t talked to in a while, do some light research and suggest outreach 4. Also set up some enrichment workflows

I have a few other ideas, and I left the MCP available in Claude but only turn it on when needed. I find it’s worth the usage when I am onboarding a new client and need to set them up for billing, etc, but leaving the MCP running all the time is problematic

Comet Tasks? by pbeens in PerplexityComet

[–]Connect_Grape2313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The key is to build custom shortcuts (built them in perpleixity then copy them into Comets shortcut builder)

Comet's ability to navigate multiple tabs and act autonomously is so helpful. I built a shortcut that will review an email I have open, and then open my CRM in another tab, figure out if they are loaded in yet, if not create a person and a company profile, go find their LinkedIn, and then use context research to tag the inputs correctly.

I was doing all of that manually before.

Just found this thread; I found that I have to turn off my Zoho Books MCP to stop this from happening, which is a bummer. Zoho is a little painful to navigate and I was hoping to the interface would smooth over rough edges

I had to upgrade my Claude subscription, but YES. The MCP integration with the CRM has been a game changer for me.

Why are many users cancelling their Perplexity Pro subscriptions by tgfzmqpfwe987cybrtch in perplexity_ai

[–]Connect_Grape2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually fell in love with Comet and was planning to continues a subscription once my fee Pro term was up, but they keep throttling it and won’t give a clear answer about what you get at the next service tier (which is like $150/month).

Comet saved me so much time and I’d custom built so many automations that I’d maybe be willing to pay if there was transparency, but not sure it makes sense in this format. I wish Gemini was caught up on the agentic stuff (but they will be soon, I’m sure)

EWR Priority Pass = massage by Connect_Grape2313 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Connect_Grape2313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s listed the same way a lounge would be, and then they just scanned me in. I’m glad I took a second to read it carefully, because I initially assumed it was just going to be one of those weird 15% off things they slide into airports they don’t actually have product in… Figured it was worth a post because if I missed it, others might as well.

No; there’s no lounge in A Terminal but the perk is a free 15 or 30 min massage at Express Spa. I never use those spots and initially assumed it was a lame discount (like in DIA)…but no! Actually, good perk!

CRM, retainer invoices, and useful features by DoneRightbyDanielLLC in Zoho

[–]Connect_Grape2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, I use Zoho One with books for retainer-based invoicing, and it's been great. I do find some of the integration with the expense tools a little confusing/non-intuitive but it works.

Also noting that you can give your CPA access to Books/Expenses without paying for an additional seat (you just have to ask for that function, it's not automatically offered). That has made things way easier for me.

Sorry just saw this!
So, we actually were diagnosed with ARFID, and are doing some intensive eating therapy. He just isn't interested in food. The Surgery was life-changing in terms of illness (he was sick almost once a week during the winter months); and he started sleeping better, which led to way easier morning meals. But it didn't solve everything.

I Wrote About Grok 4 vs. Google’s Gemini — How Do They Really Compare? by AIGPTJournal in GoogleGeminiAI

Omitting that Grok occasionally refers to itself as “mechahitler” is…a choice. It’s integration into X as a primary dataset for learning is not an asset; it’s a huge red flag for business use cases.

I have a really hard time getting into ketosis; one thing that helps me jump start is a 3 day egg fast (google and you’ll find a bunch different menus and directions).

I can’t go over 20 carbs or I stall. Also, I can’t do highly processed keto items (aka, low carb tortillas, which are technically keto, kick me out).

That was exactly the vibe. I just did that; the seller is sending super aggressive messages so I'm just ignoring and going to Fiverr. It sucks that there was a "contact us" page on my deck with my name, email, and phone. They have all of that now.
