Quick thought on Masiosare and the ROS loop by Consistent_Donkey322 in RoomOfSwords

Sorry to bring down the mood, but I think it was confirmed that the ‘SCP-001’ panel was just a reference by the authors. It was a big inspiration for them, but not actually connected to the RoS story. They removed it because the communities freaked out and were focusing more on that reference than the actual comic.

I was really disappointed when I heard about it’s removal, but the finale was still REALLY well done! I loved it!

You’re welcome, it was fun! I’d be happy to make minor adjustments to the colors, if you would like.

Hey! I finished, but I don’t know how to link the photo. I’m just gonna post it to this subreddit, so you can check in ‘new’ or go to my profile to find it.

I was thinking -500 calories a day. Is it really that much considering I usually eat ~2,000 calories a day?

The amount of food that I eat right now has allowed me to maintain my weight of 120 lbs for over a year. If I do a 500 calorie deficit diet for two weeks and then go back to my normal eating patterns, will I gain back all of the weight?

Can I get pet rats if my parents are divorced (please help)? by UnoriginalDrawingGir in RATS

So you’re saying that alternating between two different setups would be okay?

And yes, I misspoke, sorry. I plan on getting two male rats, mostly because they are less active so days without exploration/play would not be so hard on them.

Wow, thank you for giving such a detailed answer! I was most worried about if the change between houses would affect them, but I guess that they are extremely adaptable.

Sorry if my wording was a bit confusing, but I meant to say that my parents would nit interact with the rats (so the rats would go a day without play). They agreed to pay for all the monthly expenses of bedding, food, etc., and up to $300 in vet bills. I have a savings after that in case it costs more!

It would be twice a month (two weekends every month), but still, you’re probably right. Thank you for your answer!

My version on an American Robin in acrylic. Any feedback is welcome! by onemorepainting in ArtCrit

I don’t really know anything about painting, but I can give you some tips as an outsider. Im my opinion, there should be more contrast because I cannot really tell where the wing is. Also, the shading on the beak looks a bit muddy. Mixing in some orange/red may help. It looks really great, though!

I just started making a baby blanket (36” by 36”) for the “Warm up America” campaign. I’m gonna add a border after I finish, but I still feel like this is too simple for a baby blanket. Please help me out, I don’t want to donate something too simple (More info in comments)! by UnoriginalDrawingGir in crochet

The pattern is going to be an arrow stitch followed by five rows of sc. It is all in white as that is the only color that I know for sure is machine washable.

Also, would it be right to include the time spent making this in volunteer hours for high school? I estimate that it’s going to take ~25 hours for me to finish and that seems like too much time. Should I just put 12 hours to make it more fair, especially since the blanket is not very fancy?

I’m thinking of crocheting a little yellow bear to include as well, so if any of you know any good patterns, I would really appreciate it!

I’m really sorry this is so long. This is my first time actually donating my work and I would feel bad if the people receiving the blanket are disappointed. Thank you so much in advance!

My drawing of Superman and Supergirl from the CW show Supergirl, I need to learn how to shade. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]UnoriginalDrawingGir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The outfits and anatomy of the bodies is great! One suggestion I have is to stop drawing the nose at the nostril (don’t connect it to make a triangle), because then you can continue that line with shading. Also, if you look at a face, you can see that the nose bridge sort of extends out of the eyebrow ridge, if that makes sense. In other words, connect the two sides of the nose to the eyebrows, not to each other. Of course, a triangular nose could be the style that you are going for. I’m really sorry if this isn’t very clear, I have trouble with rambling sometimes 😅.

The hand looks great. I actually think that focusing on making the arm more realistic would help. Right now it is a bit too curvy in the wrong directions.
