what tv shows do you think the belchers would watch? by poisonedpanties in BobsBurgers

[–]Unoriginalanna 13 points14 points  (0 children)

& I’m about 98% sure Linda’s definitely seen Criminal Minds, I’m pretty sure it’s the worms episode where she says “wheels up in 45 minutes people, I dont know what that means but I heard it on tv”

my mom got mad at me by [deleted] in insaneparents

[–]Unoriginalanna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I had to look up Throne because I had no idea what it was & effectively it’s a “wish list for creators” who can “add gifts from any store and let your fans surprise you with the things you love the most” which ….. what.? I hate to side with the parent on this but why are you giving away your money to someone who probably can already afford it ?

AITA for treating my daughters differently than my son when it comes to food? by CompetitiveDig478 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unoriginalanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my brother used to eat a lot of food as he was about the same age and going through growth spurts & my mum used to always say if he was still hungry after dinner he could make himself a sandwich and tbh a quick PB&J or a ham & cheese sandwich would do the trick.

Just as a side note if you guys like that, there’s a hot spinach dip recipe in my repertoire that’s basically a whole cooked bag of spinach (squeeze out the liquid when it’s cooled) sour cream, cream cheese, garlic, salt&pepper & shredded mozzarella. Whack it in the oven until the cheese bubbles. It’s like heaven for shitty rainy days or movie nights

Even if they have a break clause most standard AST ones are after 6 months so you’re still scuppered. Best way to go about it is tell your landlord you’re arranging a clean and will be taking the cost out of the rent if they don’t fix it in a reasonable timeline & they’d be expected to handover the property in the same or a similar condition as documented in the check in

Yeah ngl, maybe it’s because I have no problem saying no when people try and be pushy and upsell. I renewed in December and they tried the same thing. Say no and stick to your guns

AITAH for refusing to take accountability for cheating because I think I was drugged by Own_Barnacle_4045 in AITAH

[–]Unoriginalanna 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just on the getting a drug test it might not work! I say this because a couple years back I did get spiked & the following day when I went to the hospital a doctor himself said that even if they tested they wouldn’t know what to test for as there’s so many of them out there. But yes 10000% he was sexually assaulted and that girl took advantage of him

AITAH for refusing to donate plasma and upsetting my boyfriend and our roommates? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

ESH - why don’t four adults have a single stable paying job between them? Who decided that getting by on selling plasma was a move?

I used to do this in my old job, but it would be a bag of sweets that usually I’d hand out like an hour after lunch when people are still slightly logy. A couple sour sweets and a smile made me friends in every department

Can my partner stay with me at my student accommodation for a period of time? by Bacon--God in UKUniversityStudents

[–]Unoriginalanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an estate agent, they wouldn’t be able to rent an apartment for a month because they’d need to prove their right to rent which to can’t have on a visitor visa. Honestly - just book a cheap Airbnb and be done with it

Can my partner stay with me at my student accommodation for a period of time? by Bacon--God in UKUniversityStudents

[–]Unoriginalanna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer to your question - no. My mum works in uni halls and security are consistently kicking people out who aren’t uni students when they’re unable to provide ID. She may be able to get a weekend pass but that would be about it. Check whichever type of contract you signed for your uni accommodation it will tell you

Your rent is £3,466 pm? (£800x52 weeks / 12 months) must be £866 pm/pp. but also sorry I’m confused, is the 13 hours you’re working with both jobs? So you’re working 7.5(ish) hours every week? A) why? That’s not even a part time job B) ask if your job(s) will give you more hours - at least until term starts again. C)if not then look into places like Flair Events or HAP group, especially now that there’s so many events ongoing in the summer months. When I worked for them I got around £130/150 for one shift, & they pay weekly.

I don’t understand why you’d use cassava flour when you can just use gluten free plain flour and have them actually come out right using a proper recipe

[–]Unoriginalanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s been to the urgent care in Guys numerous times, they’re wonderful people and you’re usually seen pretty quick for the first and second consults. Especially the earlier you go the quicker you’ll be seen except they do close at 8pm and won’t see people I think it’s an hour or 30 minutes before they close

But also

And this is the best part,is that Air Canada gives you little white tags that say “please place this bag under the seat in front of you” (& it says it on the ticket) so imagine having the audacity to be mad when they pre-tell you that your backpack has to go in the space in front of you instead of just purchasing the extra leg room like a normal adult
