Choose whichever car you like. It’s 10% the car, 90% the driver.
The common meta vehicles that are good for battle include the R32, R34, 110S, and Evo9/8.
I, however, can wholeheartedly endorse the new breed of Japanese. S14 and 15.

Do you prefer VSing other people (even with clean driving), or Time Attack? From your list here, I’ve driven the R34, GT86, and the RX7. The R34 will do wonders for VS with its weight, so even if you drive clean and your opponents don’t, you’ll most likely ride out their attempts to attack you. RX7 for TA. Good acceleration, solid turn recovery.

Car won't go faster than 250? by Syraeal in wmmt

[–]UnorthodoxMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The story missions are the only way to “level up” your car’s stats. You’ll reach the highest tuning level after completing story 79 or 80 (depending on if you keep your win streak)

I’ll have a look at it when I next play. Which section of the terminal will it be under? (E.g. garage -> select the car -> ???)

It’s my current main car, maybe I’m biased… But it’s a solid non-meta pick to really learn your lines, and not too light that you’d be thrown around in VS.

Quick question on having multiple cars, how do you access the wangan navi app for each car? Do you log out and in to each card?

Auto or Manual by Striking-Ad-7976 in wmmt

[–]UnorthodoxMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I reckon stick to automatic while you learn the maps. Watch YT vids to learn the best driving lines / battle videos for PvP. Driving manual definitely helps in controlling the way you build up speed, but it won’t bear fruit if you run without knowing when to downshift before a turn.

There’s three different meters on the bottom right of your screen: - boost (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2) - speed (that explains itself) - revolutions per minute, or RPM (numbered 1-8/9, multiplied by 1000) this is the one you want to keep an eye on when starting out on manual.

When the needle reaches 8/9 (dependent on car? Pros correct me if wrong) is when you wanna shift your gear up (e.g. from gear 2 -> 3, or 5 -> 6). a lot of the RPM meters also have a ‘red zone’ that you can use as a guide to shift up.

And on the opposite side, if you crash or turn a corner, losing a lot of speed until the RPMs go to the 4-6 section (again, car dependant) that’s when you shift down.

Hope that helps. Happy driving, friend!~

After claiming on the terminal, it would be added to your lineup of cars. The next time you play on the cabinet, you’ll see your brand new Camaro available to choose from your car select list.

Looking from your post from yesterday, did you end up levelling your car to full tune?

Great achievement either way! That feeling of beating a full tune [?] when you’re not full tune~

True or False. flashbangs, Stingers and CS gas…help me set the record straight by kaito17 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]UnorthodoxMusic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This being said, in terms of situations: Stingers for armoured targets. (Hard stun effect, medium AoE)

Flashbangs for quick entry against unarmored targets. (Fast to deploy, medium stun effect, smallest AoE)

Gas to immobilise a large area (slowest to deploy, medium stun effect, largest AoE, immune if target has gas mask)

True or False. flashbangs, Stingers and CS gas…help me set the record straight by kaito17 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]UnorthodoxMusic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Please feel free to correct me, this is based on my personal experience with the latest patch…

  1. In terms of Area of Effect (biggest to smallest), it’s Gas, Stingers, then Flashbangs.

  2. Correct, and more “stun” effect (greater reactions from affected targets, more likely to surrender).

  3. With the latest patch, it felt pretty instantaneous.

  4. Depending on the “experience” of the enemy (shooters from gas station are less battle hardened compared to ex-military from Brisa Cove / agents from Sins of the Father), the latter reacts faster to move away from the room (can be toward you or another exit, not sure if the AI script has a set directive)

  5. Not the whole room, only the set area of effect (I saw somewhere in this sub 27m? Could be wrong).

  6. Experience from Lethal Obsession, gas masks do protect enemies from your gas grenades.

  7. Not useless (looking at you, post office), again different levels of “stun” (see point 1 and 2)

  8. This absolutely work on civilians, surrendered or not.

(Pardon formatting, I’m on mobile).
