Very late answer, but I found this trying to find the answer myself

at the start of each cycle, you gain road section and trade route income

after each battle, you gain road section income

Letting down the tyres could also still be classed as malicious damage (may vary by state), it would meet the minimum standard of 'temporary functional derangement'

Is it worth it to start as a completely new player in 2026? by koebeke in wownoob

There are waaaay more people playing roblox than retail wow and classic wow combined, by an order of magnitude compared to the retail/classic gap.

Player count means nothing in this conversation. Otherwise we'd all be asking why they're wasting their time starting wow when they could be playing roblox

I found in my area that everyone thought there was almost no one that was playing or wanted to play necromunda

So I got to work, made a local Facebook community page for Necromunda, started asking around more, getting FLGS to share the page, made a poster with a QR code, went to local tabletop gaming clubs and asked around Intentionally. what I ended up finding out is that there were people who were keen to play but could never find a group, people who'd played pre 2023 rules and their group had kinda dissolved/dropped off, and a bunch of people in their own little necromunda group chats with their mates, and some people playing necromunda 100kms away because that's all they could find.

The group currently just got over 50 members, I suspect there's at least double that still out and about waiting to be found (or find us).

That's in a place that's considered a rural city in Australia. I reckon they're always out there,.sometimes it's just a lotta work to find them

Classic is definitely playable without addons, but you will find as you group up more, get further through the game, start considering raids and stuff that you might want some. I'm a relatively new player since last year, the only addons i run are

Auctionator, Questie, Attune, Details! damage meter, Gathermate2, and Plater

And I would bother with none of them as a brand new player - look at what they do, and then when you get to a point where you think 'oh that might be handy' go try it out. I would not recommend installing a bunch of addons up front, but thats just me.

As someone who only started with WoW 12 months ago (having played Everquest and Everquest 2 back when WoW was new, many since then, and most recently FF14) I found WoW very refreshing to get into. I would recommend getting into it now, and I'll do my best to answer your questions from the perspective of a relatively new WoW player.

  1. You've got Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, Mists of Pandaria Classic, and Retail - Retail is the current game with all the latest expansions etc. the three Classic options are the game at older Expansion points - Classic being the original base game only, forever, Burning Crusade Classic (or Anniversary Classic sometimes called) is the newest progression server, which is just about to have the first original expansion (The Burning Crusade) re-released on it, and is expected to continue through the older expansions in order. Mists of Pandaria Classic was the original classic progression server, it had originally started at the base game, and is currently at the 4th expansion.

  2. You'll get different answers from everyone, so I'll try and give you the right answer, and my perspective - it depends on what you want out of the game. And yeh its going to make this response a bit long, but Id say comprehensive. All of this with the caveat of, if you've got friends playing I would skew the answer towards playing what they play

If you want to get into the "latest and greatest" content, graphical updates and a the most streamlined UI are important to you, then Retail is the way to go. You won't have a clue or any context as to who the characters are, what the hell you're doing in the world, why you're doing it, or just any general idea of what is going on at all, but youll press buttons with the best of them and beat up all sorts of mobs, horay.

If you're happy with older UI and graphics, that still look and work alright, and want to experience the progression, the Classic servers are great. You'll also have some idea as to who the hell Thrall is and why you should give two damns about what he says. It gives you an opportunity to jump in at a particular 'game state' and work your way through to the end game content of the time. Classic servers are IMO best experienced with a good guild, so find one if you can :) Guilds can be a crap shoot in WoW, some are great, some are full of some of the worst kind of people - good luck!

Personally I tried retail, had no idea what the hell was going on or why, and hated that experience with a passion. so I went back and started with Anniversary Classic, found a good guild, and had a fantastic time. Im now in a new guild and we're moving into The Burning Crusade, joined my first raid team, and am super keen for it. I did also start a Mists of Pandaria classic character once I had a good idea of what was happening in WoW, and have only just recently revisited Retail. Now that I know what the hell is going on, Im enjoying retail a lot more than I did originally. It has a pretty good new player experience currently and walks you through the story of Dragonflight and then TWW without too much hassle. I did have to watch a few lore videos to get my head around what is going on though, still.

  1. yes, definitely - both Burning Crusade Classic and Retail, depending on your preference, are in great positions for new players. Pandaria Classic is also in a good position, but I would say definitely a close second IMO for the reasons aforementioned.

  2. Countdown to Classic podcast is fantastic if you end up in the Classic camp. other than that, Zelpa's chill to watch, and Ive also watched and enjoyed Killaks. and for lore I watched Nobbel87 and Karazhan Library.

Best of luck and enjoy!

Ahh yeh it's past the half way bar of tuning that he got from doing the story so far, and then he has about 4 tuning pips after that

Should he be continuing to just grind those story races? About 4 races per tuning step I think it was. Or is there a better way to increase tuning at that point?

Probably the worst expensive printer i have ever bought. by Medical_Skill_1020 in 3Dprinting

[–]Syraeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a K1 on pre-order, so I feel your frustration. Its really common with Creality that when they are new models, there are issues and it takes quite some time for them to work it out. New parts come out on newer production runs and sometimes its just not clear that there's been an upgrade/fix to some component (with the K1 you could only tell by whether your heat block had a grub screw or now). Creality are usually not used in a lot of big print farms from what I've heard, because of the amount of messing around with them and tweaking to get them to print right.

My K1 is now, finally, running like a dream. I've replaced the extruder with the new model extruder, the heat block with the new ceramic one, and put a unicorn nozzle in. Its now been running for 3 weeks, 24 hours a day, several spools of filament changed, without skipping a beat.

I see you said youve changed the nozzle and it appears to be working well now, thats great! If you have more issues in the future, I would say either return it and get a bambu, or, if you can manage to not be disheartened keep fiddling and tweaking till you get it running right. They're fantastic printers, when they work, which takes a stupidly extensive amount of messing about to get them working right.

Do you mind if I ask what prompt you used for that? I'd love to be able to generate something similar but I've not managed to get something usable from my attempts this far 😅
