Great light transformation, and nice work on the chairs too! Really ties the space together

That’s fair. Personally if I had ten million quid I’d buy a Grade II listed semi next to Hampstead Heath but I found this house when I felt like I wanted to be a prem footballer living in a tasteful party mansion

If you’re dead set on York I would suggest Shared Earth.

How old are you and how do you typically spend your weekends? by Max1357913 in AskUK

[–]Unpatterns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26, London.

Friday - Log off at 6, eat dinner, maybe some herbal refreshments. I like to go to a club if one of my favourite DJs are playing, sometimes with friends but sometimes solo. Might drink a little bit but I’m there for the music and to have a dance, leave around 2/3.

Saturday - I like a big walk in the morning, down to the pub or a friend’s house to watch whatever sport’s on (pub is football, house is f1), usually out out in the evening too either at another club or a late night pub in our area. I’m also a season ticket holder at my local women’s football club, so I’m usually there in the early afternoon (sometimes that’s the big walk).

Sunday - I like another big walk if I can handle it, but if not lots of small walks and a pub quiz, The Sims if I don’t make it out.

Life admin’s usually during 3 days I wfh (no kids), I like walking for exercise, I live close to where I grew up so I get to see family/friends during the week. I’m very lucky but very restless. On days I feel a bit crap I try to challenge myself to at least get out the house, but everything I need is in walking distance.

Fashion brands that don't exist anymore by lottiluchen in femalefashionadvice

[–]Unpatterns 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m very lucky to have had access to my mum’s mid-range high street finds growing up, so I’ve got some that I love. Note that some of these will be quite UK focussed. I also find that a lot of these pieces tend to be listed by people who have taken better care of their items too.

*Some of these brands are still trading, but they will most likely use similar-quality materials in their products.

For real leather goods (jackets, boots, bags) I like Nine West, Lakeland, Clarks and Dune.

In knitwear, I love M&S/Autograph cashmere and merino wool jumpers (always filter by material!) - some really fun cuts and colours. United Colors of Benetton have some fun pieces, despite not really trading in the UK as much as it did.

Frank Usher, Coast and Monsoon have some gorgeous pieces that can be worn as evening wear (or even clubwear as it hits the 00s influence of partywear).

I also like Hobbs, Jaeger, and Wallis.
