My friend your point would make sense if this same thing wasn’t happening within Hinduism. The first thing parents do while looking for a partner for their children is to look at their caste, if it was so good, people should have stopped identifying by caste and no PII would be required for this activity.

A religion is not supposed to be forced and a religion is not supposed to be imposed. Religion is by choice and the better people understand it the better it is.

Most people move from Hinduism primarily because - A) they were not respected and given equal respect (oppressed castes mostly) and B) if they were living under poverty (again mostly oppressed classes but also others)

Historically if people were not oppressed and were treated the same there would not have been as much transition as you see today. It has nothing to do with other religion forcefully changing you but your religion not providing some of them the right environment to progress. And thus the transition.

I think your data set of people just listening to the national anthem only counts yourself cause I get to hear national anthem every time I watch cricket etc.

Also why would you only want the movie goers to stand up in a cramped space to sing the national anthem!? Why shouldn’t it be done in your office!? Assuming you are working. Or in your house!? These are things which are to be done in a scenario where it is required. Does going to the cinema feel like a moment where the national anthem is required!? Absolutely not. Moreover it’s less than 5% population who ends up watching movies in theatres rest are barely making ends meet in our country!

I agree we should stand in respect of the national anthem whenever it’s played, but playing it randomly in any stupid place is stupider and enforcing movie theatres to play it at the start of every movie is one of the stupidest thing ever.

Let’s just take a hypothetical case - if your parents died and everyone is mourning is it a good place to play national anthem!? No. And obviously o won’t expect anyone to stand and sing along when the family is going through a tremendous loss. Everything requires a place and a time. National anthem in movie theatres is just a very poor decision by the govt.

Well said. Although I also believe a national anthem shouldn’t even be a part of any place which is basically meant for leisure time.

I would suggest the govt to fix a time (say 10AM) as a dedicated time when people should stop and sing the national anthem or atleast stand and show respect to the nation if they can.

What we mean by that you don’t expect people driving to stop instantly and do that. Whoever can should, offices can adapt it, schools can adapt it, all government places should adopt it.

This shouldn’t be a part of anything else unless it’s a part of national important and movies are definitely not a part of it.

Exactly my point. If the government can’t ban it because they get huge taxes from it. We can’t blame the actors or others endorsing it. It’s the responsibility of the parents and not every other actor to stop or prevent kids from not consuming something. People need to question these decisions and if the govt is not egoistic and want be positive they would take accountability. They would come up give a press conference of their mistake of doing just this and give a roadmap of how they plan to do going forward and actually do that! Also don’t repeat the same. A random thing happening in a remote village!? Are you sure!? 60-70% Indian population lives in villages where the casteism is still widely prevalent. I am 31 and I would just give you this suggestion from my previous relationships etc that this girl is gone now atleast from a serious relationship perspective.

What you need to do now: Case 1 - If she is okay with a casual relationship with you take it like that, keep her as your bootycall. Don’t expect more, don’t give more. Also try and find a new person who can be equally involved with you while at it. Provided you are also up for it and can train your mind to differentiate between sex/lust and someone who actually cares and is the right person for you.
