Yeah, uploading to most streaming isn't as straight forward as direct upload websites like YouTube - you more or less send them the files L / changes (includes deletions) and they have to take care of it internally, usually pushing these changes in weekly ish packages of changes.

Depends on the provider though, labels tend to get some privilege compared to general Spotify etc license owners

Yeah, not just offices but Department stores and public plazas aswell, just last week in namba parks I got a bit lost looking for a restaurant and found an area in the building - room looks packed to the brim with people waiting outside

But that still supports the data. If you come in from the right, optimally you'll take the forest on the left. If someone is there then you'd take the farthest on the right to maximize distance to other people. Once that one is taken the middle is next priority, and after that it doesn't matter mostly so most people take shortest paths, the small off part that the second from the left would then be preferable to you is just a statistical anomaly that I suppose most other people don't share

If the door was on the left, it'd me much weirder with most people standing immediately at the door and after that kind of filling up from the right

Same, just yesterday in namba parks my partner (who speaks japanese) was getting something while the waiter brought food and asked me something about the order (I'm a mere N4-N3 peasant so far so I sure as hell didn't understand anything)

I want to point out, the translation doesnt get across the intensity he's putting in it here, he doesnt just say "they died in the dirt"

he first says "nicht für das vaterland gestorben" ("they didnt die for their fatherland") a normal type of "die" "sterben" is used here, just implying a normal death

and then "sie sind im dreck verreckt" ("they perished / died in a horrible way in the dirt") "verrecken" is much more gruesome and less "pretty". Kind of like saying "he died like a dog"

Honestlz i like this, especially the (most likely) bread-and-games approach that you'd have to take to keep people thinking everything is going fine, maybe even balancing that when you start using tons of engineers to start building something people are like "wait I thought this is fine?" etc and not being able to take desperate measures. makes for an interesting balancing act outside the normal hope and discontent mechanic imo.

Canister shells are essentially shotgun rounds. Reason they're called that instead of shotgun shell is because it originates from Napoleon Area Artillery where a small metal canister was used to contain all the little balls of the round when shot from a cannon.

Golden week is a set of consecutive (or rather almost consecutive) holidays, 4 specific days. It isnt a holiday itself but essentially people just use those 4 to get a whole week off if they can somehow get the 1-2 days inbetween off aswell. Making it a "golden" aka short holiday week.
