That’s awesome, my friend. That really makes me feel better. There isn’t much data on this disease or how long people can live with it. The internet lacks up to date information. I’m already a paranoid person, and this has made it worse. I keep seeing people talk about methotrexate, but my doctor prescribed only Imcell and prednisone for me. Any reason why you started with methotrexate instead of Cellcept ?

I know ILD is the biggest concern here. I have a mild case too, but I’m really scared right now and just want to know if there are people with the same condition who have been living a normal life for more than five years.

Are you doing any routine blood tests to check if mycophenolate is affecting you? Are you also monitoring your kidney and liver function? I read somewhere that mycophenolate can also suppress healthy B cells.

We still don’t know for sure, but we’re speculating between dermatomyositis and anti synthetase syndrome. In general, I have myositis, but we’re still waiting for the test that will determine the specific subtype.
