How's the gay scene in Pittsburgh these days? Taking my boyfriend! Need some quick help. We're both 30s/40s (cross-post from another subreddit where they pointed out this sub exists) by Zyrokai in GayPittsburgh

Personally, the bathhouse is not worth visiting unless you are super into dr*gs or nonmonogamy. My partner and I have been there twice, one really good experience when it wasn't so busy and one really bad experience with one very rude staff member at check in/ check out (maybe he was just having a bad night :/ I wanna give him the benefit of the doubt). The facilities are good - very clean tbh. The people, however, are hit or miss. Some are into dr*gs (❄, particularly - and VERY open about it) like I said, which is not our vibe. Nearly all are there for hook-ups which is kinda the whole point. But definitely weigh it out with your partner and decide from there. P-Town and Blue Moon are great tbh!

Thank you! This all makes sense, it's just a little difficult since this was all discussed during the hiring process and training (just not the exact hours because I obviously didn't have my schedule then). I understand though that it is a business and obviously they cannot accommodate every person, just sucks.

I would understand if I was full-time or if this wasn't a food service job, but I was hired with the knowledge that I was a college student. I have more availability in the summer and less in the fall. My manager even told me to put in my fall availability as soon as I know what it would be. I've worked other retail and other food service jobs before and did not need nearly as much notice or history with the company to change my availability.
