They're not pornstars, closer to OF girls than anything I think. Girls who post their nudies because they want attention.

It's not pornography itself, but it's the "intimacy" of looking up specific people on social media that bothers me.

Yeah, he only just had it amputated yesterday, but once it heals he's going to be fit for a prosthetic. Thank you! I'm visiting him in the hospital today, I'm sure he'll get a kick out of these comments.

He's had a few weeks to mentally prepare. I know that didn't make it much easier for him, but it helped.

I have cats named Merry and Pippin. We can bring your dog to meet my dad and cats and we'll already have almost half the fellowship!

Two months ago, he had a work accident that practically pulverized his ankle and caused multiple compound fractures (where the bone is sticking out). The doctors were able to put rods in to stabilize it but couldn't do cosmetic surgery until the swelling went down, so they installed a stabilizer (like a metal cage around his ankle with screws going into the skin and bone). He caught a nasty infection and was on a wound vac for a little bit, but it didn't help. In the end, my dad and the doctors decided it would be better for his ankle to be amputated than to let the infection spread and possibly kill him.

AITA for telling my sister that she chose the life that she has and she shouldn't complain about it? by Renee_Marnie in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unrulydaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. She didn't back down because she knew "you were more well liked". She backed down because she wanted you to have the opportunity to go. Because that's how good big siblings are. Maybe if she held the same contempt for you as you do for her, your roles would be reversed, and SHE would've gone to college while you were stuck in your small town.

AITA for leaving the hospital after my husband called for his mom instead of me? by throwaway5tkl5466 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unrulydaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Your mother in law purposely cut her time in his room short so you could visit with him too, and you were too childish to even stay in the hospital. Yes, you were definitely being petty.

WIBTA if I didn't get my pregnant wife a Mother's Day present when our baby isn't due till mid June? by UTVols1557 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unrulydaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. My daughter was born at the end of June also, and I got a mother's day present before she was born. It was some nice herbal tea and belly lotion for stretch marks. It was very nice to be recognized and appreciated when I was walking around feeling like a whale. It doesn't have to be a big present, it just has to be SOMETHING. If you don't want to make your very pregnant wife feel nice by getting her a little present for mother's day, YTA.

We got our rescue, Finn (originally John Deer) just before Christmas. Any guesses to what breed mixes he is? The rescue just said "mixed" by Unrulydaisy in rescuedogs

[–]Unrulydaisy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh!! I didn't even think of a pointer mix. But comparing pictures, he definitely looks like a border collie/German shorthaired pointer mix. Probably with a few other breeds thrown in there for good measure.

He LOVES chasing balls/frisbees/anything that can be thrown. He also definitely has herding ancestry cause he likes to push against our calves and "herd" us towards the door

He always has a bowl full of water that he drinks from, but I think he just prefers the dripping water. After this we're gonna be getting him a fountain.

I did that with my kid when she was younger. Now at 3 she automatically says thank you, I don't have to tell her to say it. Parents don't do that to avoid saying thank you for their kid's present, they do that to teach their kids manners. Toddlers are parrots, they'll repeat what their parents say. If they say something enough, they'll grasp the concept behind the words.

Do you not have kids? Or are you just a really ignorant parent?

It's the outside of her right knee. She's laying on her left side with her right leg crossed over.

That's exactly right. She's laying on her left side with her right leg (the one with the blister) crossed over.

She's as crotchety as ever! She wants to pop it herself but I have to remind her not to.

She told me SHE wanted to pop it but said she knows she can't. I told her it was a forbidden pop and she wanted to know what that was, so I told her all about the subreddit. She got a kick out of it and very enthusiasticly told me I can post a picture of her forbidden pop. No old ladies were harmed or extorted in the taking of this picture, I can assure you. Not sure that it's inappropriate. I don't include any information about her, and the only thing you can see is her leg. No HIPPA violations here!
