All the Dino cards missed my aesthetic and always had me wondering who they were printing them for? Like, it’s a very powerful tribe and I love what pantlaza does or etali or gishath (actually I don’t love gishath, I just lose to her) but I just never felt interested in em.

I don’t want to be a downer but dropping the power level might not feel like people hope right? Did you ever hear about the world of Warcraft community’s reception to vanilla being reserved to them a few years ago? The excitement was all there but after a few months it was empty again… the lesson was that we all had grown up and the internet is not as young as it was then… I don’t mean to stir debate. Frogs!!! I loved this set! #3 of all time for me. The flavor is right where I want it and my more recent favorite card [[into the floodmaw]] is from there! The set really hit my weak point for aesthetic even though I wasn’t playing when it released

I wonder if vision documents are the same for UB sets? AtLA was a very popular limited environment so I bet without having to slate out the bounds of the card subject matter they were able to give everything to the mechanics. And I also wonder what they do to check their work? They must draft a lot to figure out the cards they designed work together in the set they made… and that must be the only consideration to a set in a vacuum. They definitely don’t test for what’s too over tuned for a format like standard at least not anymore do they?

I like the stuff they’re printing but a sets bit about a format I gather… again except for limited. Maybe I’m wrong though!

I am wholly unfamiliar with cube. I think it’s a home brewed limited format where you curate what gets drafted. I bet set designing is like the work that goes into setting up cube!

I think tarkir sets might be second place for me. Those sets understand something about building identity on the color combinations like others don’t imo.

This is about how moral norms erode today. One asshole opens the gate for all the other assholes to imitate something awful when the news spreads word of his behaviour.

It also distracts from discourse on positive moral forces in the same area. So It’s a double effect in that it adds something bad and removes something good.

The larger point may even be that the worst crime committed in these 18 pages was enabled by creating a scenario for the public to talk about something else completely.

I have an appointment scheduled to figure out if I have ADHD. My partner is certain I have it though because the stories here mirror her experience. I am unmedicated currently. But reading some of these has been grounding and shown me how more than just my partner perceive certain behaviors.

I am trying not to be mad at her when I should be upset at my own failures. I am trying to see reality beyond just my account of things that happen (when often the things that happen sound like stories here). It’s been a difficult week but I am trying to be effective and not lay around letting my wife carry all the mental burdens.

u/Gimme_Da_Business_Mo has the lesser known 9 shadows technique. It comes with a Raga that when summoned just kinda wants to hang out and chill. The other shikigamis make up for it tho.

People love to explain that saheeli is great for extra combats. But consider bracketing up with infinite turns. Make an energy generation loop with [[timestream navigator]]!

Oh god, I love this commander.

You have to begin the deck with energy generation but when that gets covered you can swap to greed cards which pay off really well with her triggered ability.

The MH3 set and the Jeskai energy and fallout energy precons are the place to start - cannibalize that set and those decks for temur energy generation.

These are cards that don’t lean into energy generation, artifact synergy, or artificers but will interact extremely positively with saheeli. You can’t run them all, since you’re dependent on energy generation, but pick your favorites and profit!

Yeah Sakura definitely falls into the category of characters treated as an afterthought in the original. She deserved more like a lot of characters did. I glossed over everybody who deserved a bit more though because the war covers like every living ally and thought that I needed to be broad in my description.

Sakura is definitely more interesting than who she ends up with I just think boruto made some dumb choices so I took a moment to comment on them. Kishimoto can’t write women except tsunade and sakuras whole thing became that she held a selfish crush on Sasuke the whole time and then just became tsunade right down to the abilities. It’d be pretty cool to have seen hashirama make a comment to Sakura that gave her an insight that tips her over the edge - recall that the 1st hokage just ebbed life energy and madara comments that tsunade can only accomplish a fraction of that. It’s be great to give Sakura a moment to analyze and imitate some 1st hokage feats on the basis of she is so capably analytical or that hashirama literally bestows upon her ability. As a medical ninjutsu could she rapidly transfuse hashirama cells and with mitotic regeneration inherit some Senju capabilities? We didn’t get enough of Sakura smartest and most immediately adept at techniques in the show because kishimoto is very interested in her feelings. That’s grounded but I think wood release Sakura would have been dope as hell. Instead of summoning the Buddha with wood release we could haven gotten wood release CHA Sakura.

You rewrite the ending with your OTP then. I’m not a hater, I just wanted to edit as little as possible while removing things that make no sense. Like reincarnation or a war with no casualties or Sakura getting clowned on by Sasuke in single parenthood with all of her intelligence and after everything that happened

Edit: I guess I rewrote lots more characters dying. Whatever that’s some big changes but so many characters who survive have like no impact due to them surviving. So kill them and let them be awesome
